Many people go broke because they bring too much money to the table, and lose it all because they dont want to lose it,i think if they bring less amount and control their greed they can make alot of money in poker

Maybe those players take a lot of money with them for the table to wait for the moment with a good card and win a lot at once, well I saw how the player takes the minimum stack and wins the normal money in the cash game, but I do not think that he can win so constantly, well I think that if they bring less money into the game and will constantly win, they can raise the bankroll, even if it's a small bankroll, but then they
will be able to play at big bets!

Never lose more than you think you can win

I bring 1 max buy in so if 1/2 no limit max buy in is 250 I will bring 250. Then I will play 2 125$ sessions. I know I can definitely win at least $125. So if I suck out I have another chance to make it up. If I lose again then I call it a night the poker gods are against me.

I don't quite understand this generalization. If the max buy in is too much then they should move down stakes where they won't be playing as timid due to it. You can't be risking money you can't afford to lose... and If they bring less then they can also win less

It more so it depends on the individuals bankroll. If you bring the max amount and lose it all but you still have enough bankroll to keep playing poker than that's ok, if you don't than you're playing really bad bankroll management and need to re-evaluate the stakes you're playing. Generally speaking I've seen a good management system for live games is to sit down with no more than 1/20th of your bankroll, so if you have $100 that means you shouldn't sit down with more than $5. If you keep it somewhere on the smaller side of the bankroll you'll generally be ok and won't lose everything in one sitting.

That's where BRM comes in . You should never have more at a table than you are willing to lose in a given hand . Otherwise you are playing scared and destined to lose .

I personally like to play with 100x the BB. so if i am playing 1/2nl i prefer 200$ etc. I feel as if i have enough to play with, but not completely deep enough to get myself into real sticky situations. This is where i have learned to make everything work for me. If i would buy in with 300 at 1/2 i feel as if i am too deep and look to start playing marginal hands in position which does not always work out. I agree that it could be beneficial for some, but for me 100x works best. 2/5 I would buy in with 500$ 1/3 $300, and 1/2 200$.

ppl don't go broke because they braught to much money to the broke, they go broke for many reasons, bring to much cash isn't one of them,by not buying in for max you will lose some money or value, you don't want to be the guy who buys in for min buy-in the gets dealt the nuts to have 4-5 callers to river with 60.00 buy-in when you could get the same for max buy-in

Every table has a table maximum. You can't play with more than that unless you won it at the same table. Bankroll management decides if the amount is too much or not. If your Bankroll is $500 and you sit down to play at an NL200 table, then you have brought too much to the table. Your bankroll is only 2.5 Buyins when it should be 20 Buyins minimum ($4000 in this particular case). But if your bankroll is correct then you have brought the right amount to the table. Unless you're playing a short stack strategy, you SHOULD have the table Max of chips in front of you. This will enable you to extract Maximum value from your opponents. This is also the fundamental reason why Auto-topup exists.

Hello

I make it simple by bringing two buy-ins of a hundred big blinds when I play in cash games. If I play in tournaments I don't re-buy if I get kicked out.

One casino I use to play at I would buy in at $1K most of the time. The guy there handing out the chips would be annoyed, but I don't care if everyone else at the table is buying for $1K I would too. This is for a $1/2 game that played like 500 BBs deep. When you have really bad recreational players buying in for $1K you should buy in as much as possible if its within your bankroll.

If you are a novice player - play the amount that you can safely lose. But also try to control your emotions - poker is not a casino and do not try to play often. Better is less but more qualitative - endurance and the control your everything. Good luck

The greatest enemy and friend you will ever face at a Poker table is yourself. You must have the right bankroll for the limit you play at. Otherwise you will spend the whole game worrying about going broke, instead of focusing on the most important thing in Poker - Making correct decisions.

I always have at least 20 buyins at hand, if 100BBs is too much you should move down in stakes.

Bring an amount you can handle losing maybe that's 2 or 3 buy ins or maybe 1 or can be more depends on person don't carry whole bankroll I'd say it different for everyone but do your thing as poker can be fickle play only while your in complete control mentally
