I have always played better in tournaments than cash games vis a vis online play. And all time (5 yrs total--non consecutively) I've probably made over 200$ in tournaments and I'm a winning player there. But I always gravitate towards the cash games. I get so bored, waiting for that one afternoon slot in the evening, or prepping mentally, and even just the grind of tournaments. But it seems like everytime I buy in I win (cash), maybe 1 outta 6 or 5 but I usually do this randomly like maybe only twice a month.
With cash games however, I go straight to them (4tbls usually). Grind 2 -4 hours 6max, and I barely break even. Maybe sometimes double up (.02/.05) but its so depressing. All time I've lost over 800$ in cash games in 5 years. I've never just played one type for an entire month so i can't really compare them. Should I stop playing ring tables entirely?
