This should probably go in the strategy section, but I have a philosophy: Always Raise.

When in doubt.. raise. You typically will bet the competition out, however, if they re-raise you, fold.

thats just silly mate you do that your chips will go down nice and slowly you got to go on what the other players are doing and compare that with the strength of your hand then decide to raise

Raising all the time will probably be giving your money away unless you're at a "soft" table where you could possibly scare everyone off...untill they get a good hand and they will take it all back. Just from my experience.

If that is your stragedy i hope to see you at the tables man. That wont work i would agree with the raise when u have the best hand and not allow chasers because there are a ton of those on the net.

I hope to play against all of you because you don't understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying play all your cards... I'm saying if you're going to play... start off strong and finish up strong. Choose your cards wisely.

You will typically bet someone out. I do it all the time with a 27 offsuit. Bet strong pre-flop, don't go all in, keep a strong bet (nothing too drastic). When someone raises, re-raise. Continue on.

This is to say, unless you know what the other person has. You have to be wise and be able to read what they possibly may have based on their bet. But when in doubt Raise.

Wagering strategies aside, two words that should be permanently struck from the poker player's vocabulary when discussing the game are "always" and "never".

I understand what your saying, and it does have some merit but I don't think your going to fool anyone for long with that strategy. As for the 2,7os there are only 2 positions I would even consider playing that hand. Call on the button if the table is weak, raise to the right of the button and hope the button folds. In both situations your in good position to steal the pot.

Just see what nonsense you are talking (raise,if he re-raise fold) if you are against a good (even not great ) player he will notice how you play and he will just check call your raises so he can have much more profit from your all time raise. This is just silly if you ask me.

I'm only like to raise when I have a good enough hand, or when I'm in a position that i can afford to raise and weed out some of the players that are trying to just limp in.

terrible advice

bad idea....a good player will pick you off in no time and have taken all your chips before you even know it....wait for those premium hands and then play them aggressive.....dont go chasing junk

This strategy has some advantages but not a lot. Generally it is better to raise than to make a marginal call, but of course it is better to raise when you have reads and reasons to do it )

Always raising your bet can work, but it doesn't always work, especially when there are a lot of strong players sitting at the table. They'll understand what you're doing and start adjusting to your game. This strategy can be used against passive players. In other cases, I recommend playing with more restraint.

But there are cases where the call is more lucrative and we must also take into account the player's image at the table.

To me, you are a kind of "fish". That's how stupid such a strategy is. Excuse me.

If I have a good hand and the cards I need are on the table, of course I'll raise, otherwise I'll fold for sure
