I received an email 2 hrs ago saying that due to not enough people taking up and playing with All-In Poker they will be closing.

They will stay open until 22 September so all our monies can be withdrawn.

Came as a bit of a shock but not really surprised - leads me to wonder how many others might jump before they are pushed?

Enjoy and Peace

I can see why though berdian, I am still working with Chris trying to play live, real poker. The blind don't want play chips or pay to play with play chips. Chris in particular wants every opportunity that you and I have.

So yes in a way it doesn't surprise me but yes also in a way it does.

It's a shame more sites havent made more of an effort to accommodate the blind. Certainly if it is only a matter of having an option for more text on a screen as opposed to graphics.

The only reason I can think of is to do with this 'bot' nonsense. IE making it easier for 'bots'.

Surely however if you can prove you are registered blind, they could enable an option.

Most sites welly have certain options.. some actually show the board cards in text, Titan competely shows the board cards in text along with your hole cards. Just Chris's screenreader wasn't compatable with Titan, everything came to him as graphic, graphic, graphic, so he in essence could choose graphic but who knows what it would be.

I always thought the text that you get in the chat box on party poker etc just made it easier for bots... in fact I wrote and told them so. They didn't do anything about it. I don't understand why poker sites make it so easy for cheaters. If it's to accommodate the blind, they could program accessibility features like a Stephen Hawking voice pretty easily.

Hi there,
Just to clear a few things up a little.
Blind and visually impaired people can play at All Inplay but not Allinpoker.
It's me who have been communicating with Twizzybop and we are still searching for a poker site that will eventually work with a screen reader.
A few other friends of mine who are also visually impaired are also looking for some site.
The problem with partypoker is that only that cards that are shown on the table are shown as text, not your cards. The other thing is that they don't provide a keyboard shortcut for taking a seat. Like I have written before, we visually impaired also want to play for real! All the best and thanks,
Chris
