This is a discussion on Advice for your past self? within the online poker forums, in the General Poker section; If you could travel back in time and give one piece of advice to your past self on poker, what would it be?
Ace's are only a pair. And a pair is rarely a good hand to go all in with.

re: Poker & Advice for your past self?
Basically to stick in the games you play better. In my case it was always MTTs but I'd sometimes play cash, lose some money and then it becomes a snow ball when you try to recover.
Thats the worst part of cash games, you sometimes play them when you're trying to recover money, since in a single pot you can get it all back. Kinda sucks to play tournaments when you're in the red.
