My friend is taking a trip to Vegas in the summer and I told him I would give him some good advice. He plays pretty agressive, all NL hold em'. So what are some opinion's on how he should approach the table, going from small cash games to casino play?

My best advice is to play within your bankroll. Whatever cash he has, he should play with no more than 10% at the NL holdem table.

In vegas you might get yourself into trouble at a no-limit table if you don't have any casino expeirnce in one before. Most of your opponents are going to be regulars in a casino if not that casino. I know when we see some out of towners in our local casino's playing extremly aggressive, we wait for them get to taken out then go back to playing our normal way.

My advise would be sit down play tight but aggressive for a little while then change it up so that way you could get a feel for the table. Not only will you make a impression on the players around the table. You don't look weak and a like easy money player that way. At least thats what I would do anyways.

Home games are alot different then casino games.

I wish your Buddie a lot of luck and tell him to play like he want....

If he is used to play aggressive let him do it, if he change now he may will suck.

Just take care that he don't loose to much and after he have the experience what to change.....

I can give some advice, a swedish man did a really big mistake in this years wsop. He had to move to another table, since he had to lot to carry he put his chips in his pocket. Dont do that because you are not allowed to use them again. He had to quit the tournament.

I would suggest learning to play limit such as 2/4, 3/6., or 4/8. I have heard that these games are a lot easier to make money in...for tighter players.

Just don't risk too much of your bankroll is what I would tell him, but the way he plays it sounds like he is gong to lose some of it.

- Don't be intimidated. Sure, some of the people may be regulars there, but if you think about it this actually gives your friend an advantage at the start while he's settling in, as he's a completely unknown entity to the players there. By the time they begin to pick up on him, he should hopefully be settling in and learning about his opponents too anyway.

- Don't drink. Just tell him not to at all if he's going to play poker. Even one drink can cause someone to make a stupid call they wouldn't usually have.

- Don't play any of the other casino games, as essentially they're about dumb luck. If your friend feels confident he can win at poker, there should be no need for him to try anything else that's even more reliant on luck, even if he is running badly.

It's considered bad etiquette though. If you wanna hit on someone after the game's done, fine, but it's pretty rude to do so while you're actually playing.

He can make a lot of money at 10/20 or better. Lots of action and big pots, watch your bankroll or he will be back early.

There are a lot of Low Limit No Limit Hold Em games in Vegas right now.

$100 buy in with 1/2 blinds.

If your friend has played at home and online, they should be able to hold their own. I would recommend the Aladdin. It has a nice room and I didn't see too many locals there. Mainly guests of that hotel, because it is a small room.

The ringers usually hang around Bellagio waiting for the fish...
