- Don't be intimidated. Sure, some of the people may be regulars there, but if you think about it this actually gives your friend an advantage at the start while he's settling in, as he's a completely unknown entity to the players there. By the time they begin to pick up on him, he should hopefully be settling in and learning about his opponents too anyway.
- Don't drink. Just tell him not to at all if he's going to play poker. Even one drink can cause someone to make a stupid call they wouldn't usually have.
- Don't play any of the other casino games, as essentially they're about dumb luck. If your friend feels confident he can win at poker, there should be no need for him to try anything else that's even more reliant on luck, even if he is running badly.

It's considered bad etiquette though. If you wanna hit on someone after the game's done, fine, but it's pretty rude to do so while you're actually playing.
