Ok I know this is old but I never got the chance to say anything and I just thought of it recently.........it seems that everyone made a fus about the whole absolut scandal and cheating and all.....but the thing that gets me is that that was done at such highstakes MTT and i think cashgames.........did the people playing .25/.50 or even three times higher than that really think a super account would be playing....I dont think so....so I just dont understand why all the small Bankrolled people got mad.....

...what?

umm, let's try a fun analogy - if your bank manager got convicted of siphoning money from the bank account of some guy with millions to his name and the bank tried to cover it up, would you still bank there even though you don't have millions in your account?

i understand what your saying but that has nothing to do with playing poker and winning money...im saying that the super account was obviously making money off of bigger stake games.....the pokersite(bank) isn't bad....(there was just a robbery by an employee) :)

Oh no you didnt........

The whole site is proven corrupt. Do you not understand that simple fact? Its like biting into the other side of a rotten apple. That would be my analogy. Why would you even try you know its rotten?

Interesting point, If you were a regular there playing at the micro stakes mentioned, and you were wining at a decent rate, would you actually care about the scandal? Me personally I probably take my money and run :D.

It has everything to do with what you're saying - people do not need to be directly involved or affected by an issue to be alarmed and disgusted by it. I'm sure you can think of lots more examples.

...and "the poker site isn't bad"? You obviously don't know everything about the situation (the initial dismissal of the notion that any wrongdoing had occured when clearly it had and subsequent false statements AP released, for one thing).

Personally, If I thought a site was remotely dodgy I wouldnt play there. But lets say it was a site you were already playing at and have won for a number of years. You have cashed out a lot and your winning at a steady rate. I don't think a lot of players would be too concerned imo.
