A few words about the music during the game.
There are probably many opinions about the benefits and harms of background music while playing poker.
Pros:
+ Music improves your mood. Helps relive failed hands.
+ Music fills your ears, and does not allow to be distracted by extraneous sounds (headphones help in this).
Minuses:
- You must pre-select the entire track list.
- If you have not done so, you will be distracted by the search during the game.
- Music should be exactly the background, it should not attract attention.
- Music should be calm, it should not provoke excessive activity, it can affect the game.

The pros are not working for me. Any music distracts me.

I usually play music that I know for a very long time so I don't get distracted by it. When I listen to new music or music I haven't heard before I tend to focus too much on the lyrics and the beats and so I lose track on how I'm doing in the game. I think music puts you in a rhythm and can be very beneficial once you get used to it and know how to use it. Some people just don't like music and get distracted by it but there's no harm in trying it out.

Usually music distracts me and prevents concentration.
In my opinion, meditation best influences concentration.

when you are not sleeping the second day or you play at 5 o'clock in the morning, only music helps you not to fall asleep .... sometimes the tournament lasts 8 hours ... and aggressive music helps to cheer up.

I can't watch movies. I don’t want to look boring and not interesting, but good ones distract my eyes from the poker tables. So - only music. However, sometimes music happens in the form of video clips or live video recordings. This is good.

The most of the songs show some kind feeling which if it overtakes you, it can change your game. That's why it's better without it

I dont know, music for me is relaxation and I make less mistakes when I listen to music, so I don't know. Watching movies isn't good way to play poker obviously...

I listen to the music that I loved growing up...when I listen, I can't sit still...and I can have memories of dancing with my girlfriend the first time I heard a certain song...it can be distracting.

playing online I usually have a random play list playing in the background and find it of no distraction for me anyways.
However, playing in live games at the casino never have taken headphones to listen to music.

Usually I prefer classical music.

Listening to music during the game of poker ... will always be a matter of taste ... some players feel relaxed and comfortable listening to music when they are playing poker ... there are others that distract us and deconcentrates us from the game of poker .. .!

I like playing poker with silent music in the background. I listen or watch a video when I play poker. Something in the background makes you play well and tightly.

I love listening to music while playing poker. I listen to Accept 1984 . the game is becoming aggressive! it is a fact ! but tastes do not argue .......

Songs help me not to get bored. By the way, I like programming while I'm playing poker. It works for me.

As many guys said, I dont listen music too. Musics distract me. Prefer TV, dont know why.

Any music will not do. For me, if i hear a calm one, that will make my brain slow down (not falling asleep but...), and i really need the adrenaline side to be really focused. A rythemed or powerful music, sooner or later, will be to much and gets annoying. What do i hear then? Nothing.

When I listen to songs I know (and like) I keep singing it lol
It works the other way around for me, it should either be an instrumental song or one I don't know. I prefer not to have anything on though

I listen music only when I play MTT. It could take 4+ hours so music helps me to be active. I listen to my favorite hits only.
