Can anyone clarify for me just a couple of rules, im new to poker and im unsure on these rules

1st, is there only 2 bets alowed or can you raise all night long?? ie.
player 1 raises the blind, player 2 re-raises, can player 3 re raise again or is that it, can you only call from now on??

2nd is, in no limit, blinds are 25/50 so 50 is the minmum bet, is it doubled from the turn card onwards??

also, is there any actual rule about acting out of turn?? like if there is 4 people that have to decide before its your turn, and you say, "oh well i may aswell go all in" or "i fold no matter what" that kind of thing, are they in anyway breaking the rules or is it just etiquette

No, in no-limit the min. is the big blind all the way through the hand.

1st depends on wether the game is NL or Limit. In Limit each round is capped at a maximum of 4 bets. In NL technically you can reraise as many times as you want as long as you raise a minimum of the Big Blind. ie BB=50 you must RAISE at least 50 it can be 51 but the raise must be a minimum of the big blind so you would have a minimum bet of 100 if someone before you bet 50.

2nd Very good question because table stakes are commonly misunderstood. In NL generally the minimum bet size does not change. In limit the Big Blind will be 1/2 of the stated table stakes and on the turn the bet size doubles to the stated table stakes.

As far as acting out of turn the only move you can legally make out of turn is to FOLD any bet made out of turn must be returned to the player he can not leave his bet in the pot!

In NL, you can keep reraising to your heart's content. In limit, a bet and 3 raises is usually all that's allowed, though some places allow unlimited raises when heads-up.

No, this only happens in limit.

Just etiquette I think, though a casino would most likely throw out a persistent offender, as it does give an unfair advantage to anyone left to act over those who have acted already.

A mate of mine was playing i a casino when someone acted out of turn (the guy announced all in) The casino made him take the bet back and then asked the remaining players if there was anyone that wanted him to make the bet when it was his turn. The player acting in front of him was going to go all in anyway so he said yes, and the guy was forced to call the all in with an all in bet, which was called on the button. The button won the hand and the guy who cocked up had a good whinge apparently

so its all realy just what YOU feel comfortable with, i personally hate it, but most of my regular playing buddies hate it when i whinge about them acting out of turn, the funy thing is, they mainly "cheat" themselves out of moneu anyway, as the remaining players "BEFORE" them will just fold knowing he wants to lay down some gold

One thing to add about raising in no limit. While the minimum raise is normally the big blind, any reraise must be at least as big as the raise before it. So, if the BB is $50, and someone raises $300, the next raise must be at least $300.

XD, don't have access to live games around here so am curious about playing out of turn. Back in the day our rule was if you were too loaded to play in turn you were too loaded to play. Strike 2 & you were out. My concern would be that the folder was trying to provide info to a particular player still in the hand.
