The Reason i have posted this!

I have recently tried to give someone the best advice that i can provide being that i have only been playing poker for about 4 years now!

I am NOT a professional........ But i Feel that my advice is the type of advice that a player can take to the next LvL....
Sometimes players can get stuck in a rut and find themselves playing the best they can and seem to catch the rail everytime, even though they are playing the best they can....

My advice may not be from a professional stand point , BUT i feel that my advice is From a person who really cares and respects the game.

I'm not the type of person who pops into someone else's thread and puts in a stupid meaningless 1 liner to discourage people from advancing thier game...

I may not know everything , but what i do know is of quality and can be helpful to someone....
So for all those who feel my information is "Terrible" .... Corrections to my advice is always welcome...

I've been thinking about this all night and i feel that this post for all to see with help get it off my chest so i can return to the Felt with a P.M.A {Positive . Mental . Attitude}

Advice comming from any person who cares enough to help others game is always valuable..
Helping others not only builds confidence in others game, But builds confidence in the player themself....

Sorry if this seems nasty, But i'm a person who takes alot out of time to help others the best way i can....

Because I'm a person who cares!

Poker Humbles the proud.....
Poker teaches Discipline......
Poker teaches to harness the 'Chi' in life.....
Control your 'Chi' and you control the outcome

I just want to encourage you to keep posting your advice despite the criticism. Advice can be accepted or rejeccted and there is no need to be hostile over the differing opinions. I know I am learning from the advice offered (though I disagree with some) and I appreciate hearing others' opinions on how to improve at this game we play.

I must tell you that i am a Low stakes player...I still don't have the confidence to be a high stakes player...

The advice i give might not be accurate for the LvL you are currently at {But as always i will do my best}

Heads up for me has always been a favorite of mine... i feel very strongly if i can get heads up in any tournament i hold the advantage...

i find it always best to size up my opponent...
Is my opponent Raising alot on any 2 cards?
Is my opponent playing tight or loose?

These are factors that i find important to notice when playing "HU"

In "HU" i find it important to make your opponent play your game... If you get cought playing your opponents game in heads up... 4 out 5 times they will win..
Heads up to me is all about taking control of the betting... No flat calling
Maintain control and 100% focus.....

when a player in heads up loses focus they lose contol and get sucked out... Take control by making the loose reraise to size up your opponents hand... I rarely Just Call in the Small blind...I either raise or get out of the hand...

If i'm playing a maniac "HU" .... I enter the mind of a maniac...and Become the Maniac....
The main part of "HU" {In my opinion} is to destroy my opponent Mentally... I make them show me thier fears.... For your opponent to show thier fear in heads up gives you the advantage to enter thier mind and take mental control of the game...

If your opponent seems to be folding alot, they are showing Fear of losing with a low hand....take advantage of that. exploit your suited connectors and your drawing hands.. The Tight heads up player is looking for the pairs and not whats most important heads up.

The control..... Take control and you take your opponent Everytime.
NO FEAR..... TAKE CONTROL....MAINTAIN FOCUS.....

I really hope this helps....

Now what exatcly is the point of even posting in here then? You just prove my point.

What happen to the old saying? If you don't have anything nice to say, then just don't say anything at all.
Now i have just wasted 10 minutes of my life that i cannot get back because of this senseless post.

Thanks alot for wasting my time.

Well the last few posts have been in black and a lot more readable, so if I wasted your time I'm sure I saved other people a ton of time reading them and you'll have more people actually read your posts. You're welcome.

You have totally missed the point of this thread, please go bother someone else's thread with this nonsense.. Besides does everything need to be in black and white.

Whats wrong with a little color in your life?

Jack - Zach makes a great point. Take his advice and stop turning it into a debate. :)

Actually, it`s incorrect to fold your small blind pre-flop in a heads-up game. You should only do so in two circumstances:

1. Occasionally to mix up your play and keep the opponent guessing.

2. You have a read that the Big Blind will raise and your hand is not strong enough to play a raised pot.

More generally, I get the impression there is a back-story I have missed. Has someone been rude to you ? Link, please.

I was curious of the same thing. OP eluded to this but no details? Oh, and jackdude, don't apolagize for being "nasty" when you post something that doesn't even qualify as rude, let alone nasty.
