can someone please tell me what some of the accronyms stand for. a few i understand but most i do not. utg, tag, lap, etc.

i'm an experienced online player, i just never really got into chatting about it. any help would be great, or even a link to somewhere that i can learn them for myslef. thanks for your time.

UTG = Under the gun = First player to act before the flop.

TAG = Tight-Aggressive = A player who doesn't play that many hands but generally plays aggressively when he is involved in a hand.

LAP - I must be honest I dunno this one. Is it Loose-Aggressive Player, Loose and Passive, or something else?

If there are others, just googling "poker acronyms" or something will probably net you a few decent results.

Edit: lol i post slowaments
