A little bit of introspection...

I just recently joined this forum after lurking for a few weeks because I would like to ask some of my own questions as well as contribute after reading many of yours.

Well to start off I have been a relatively profitable player--you can check my sharkscope, but after 463 SNG games I have a 10% ROI for a total profit of $150. On top of that I have some very strong tournament finishes which have won me another $200 or so. After a recent cash out I left myself $50 dollars to play on.

I've since been able to get that to $120 which would be a good thing if not for the fact that I was at $198 10 SNGs ago. Yes I went on a 10 game losing streak at the $6.50 level on PS and am now looking for advice on where I should take my game. I want to use proper bankroll management and was only playing $6.50 because i had over 20 buyins for the games which seems to be on the loose end but acceptable.

I never felt outplayed at the $6.50s but the shift in funds is rather a lot so I've been thinking perhaps I should move back to the 3.40s where I was successful. I was also considering what multi tableing or entering ring games would do for me, but I am unsure of what bankroll management practices are appropriate if I were to go that route so any advice on the matter would be greatly apprecitated.

I guess in the end--my question is "I have $120 dollars...I am a pretty good poker player...what should I do with it?"

Thanks

I dont play at PS so i am not sure what all is available there. Diversity is ceertainly a goo way to improve your game though. Low limit cash games may be a good way to spend some time. I would watch a few tables before sitting in as the play is likely to be quite different from SNG. Develop a plan of attack and execute it. I don't play much SNG or Tourneys myself. I prefer cash games and when I start seeing a reversal in NL hold'em I look for a different game for a few sessions. 7 stud, Omaha hi/lo or limit hold'em.

I would suggest that limit yourself to 5% of your roll in any one cash game or STT, 2% in any MTT. So, $120 is not quite enough for $6.50 games, and you might do well to drop down a level.

Also, check out this article.

hahah yeah i was at 198 when i was playing 6.50s so now I'm thinking I should move back down to 3.40s...though two $60s does sound appealing =)
