Was playing at this game and the game offers a "button" straddle where the button can staraddle. I have played with a button straddle before and it usually forces action on sb,bb,utg, etc. But here the utg acts firts then right before it gets to button it goes to sb, then bb, then button. One hand the small blind raise and the action rotated like the normal way . My problem with that is everyone after the sb, will act twice before the button has acted at all. If you understand please explain if this is legal.

Straddles are not a normal part of the game.
Therefore they can be whatever ALL the participants agree to.
If you don't like it say you don't agree to that version, if the others still insist on it then don't play in that game.
The basic straddle is double the big blind under the gun.
As you are aware there are other common versions, including button straddles, which sometimes can be taken back if there is a raise from an earlier position.
The idea of them is just to generate more action.
Importantly it is the same for everyone so shouldn't really make any difference.
But then why not just play Stud, OMAHA or Badugi instead. Make 2s Wild, play the 72 game.
Anything is legal if all participants (and state law) agree to it, you could even decide the worst hand should win and call it razz.
Or here's an idea why not just play the game that everybody came to play in the first place.

Seems strange that someone would think people acting twice before the button has too would be a good idea but thinking of it as a blind raise (i know it's not quite the same but for sake of argument). Im pretty sure a straddle isn't a part of the rules regardless but in some grey area where the house can decide (or table itself or whatever) that they want the play the game a little differently for whatever reason.

House rules are house rules. Straddles are pretty useless. Very rare to find a straddler that actually raises most of the time they straddle, most of the times it's straddle/check preflop. Never understood why you would want to bloat the pot and not take a crack preflop.

sounds a lil off to me most casinos i've played in only allows one or the other at the same time.If there was a button straddle utg couldn't stradlle and vice versa. If there was no button straddle utg could straddle never heard of both straddles working at the same time
