is this a bot?

ok i have amended this post, the relevant site got back to me and quoted the follwing

Those bots are in the ring games.
They are their to load system with ring games and tourneys to see if system crashed or freezes..

they are justb there to test system this weekend..

They are only in ring games no bots are in tourneys.."



My question now is , is this normal for beta testing? when real players are playing tournaments?

Bots are used but I would never play a site that uses them!!!! Your call but I would recomend you not play any site that uses bots

How can you tell if a site uses bots? Can they use them in cash games? or just in the practice or fun games? I had never heard of these bot things.

This is one area i'm not at all sure about, I know of bots but how do you know if a particular poker room is using bots?
Sorry such a short post this time but I feel the question is relevant, for me at least, thanks in advance for your replies,

Yeah how do you really know? In this particular case the site admited they are using bots. Would be nice if knew for sure which ones did and didn't but if they admit to it then the obvious decision is to not play there

The Pai Gow tables in Jetset poker uses bots I think. However the bot im talking about is actually the prop banker. Ive played him before and he more often than not get good hands, and hes almost always up. I dont think jetset uses bots anywhere else, its a good site but stay away from pai gow.
