Silver Level
I have now hit 900 posts in 16 months since joining CC. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the info and laughs in that short time. I just wanted to reflect on the past and where I am now. These are some of the many thing I have learned...
I have definitely improved, without a doubt, but still have so much more to learn.
I tanked my FT stats, having absolutely no clue about BRM, in the first couple years and might never recover. I can only look to the future. My play has somewhat leveled off and now I need to turn that graph up.
I can now let hands like QQ and AK go without thinking I have to shove.
I am finally getting over my case of FUYAGS(search it in CC if you haven't yet).
Patience pays off. I made 4 FT in CC freerolls out of about 20 or so, reaching my highest finish 2 weeks ago at 3rd.
I can now be happy with the way I played, even if I don't TID. I have a habit, in life as well as poker, to expect the best out of myself and beat myself up if I'm not on top.
People call WAAY more than they should.
I used to chase too much.
I can fold my SB-it's not an automatic call.
I've tightened up in my cash game and can grind out a winning session.
My wife is awesome. I can play in pretty much any big tourney as long as I give her free time and take my son out to the park or somewhere fun. Not many guys have it as good as I do.
As far as my goals for the next year...
Learn Murray's Rush tourney strategy.
Read Dusty's book as soon as I can part with the cash. Work's slow now and I just don't have it to buy books.
Go deep in the Daily Dollar-final table would be nice.
Dig deep in the CC archives-there's still so much I haven't seen yet.
Set myself a challenge-maybe FT tourneys.
Quit chewing. I was almost off the stuff, but my mom had a stroke 2 months ago and got right back on it.
Enter a tourney at Bay 101- I'm only 5 minutes from it.
Thanks for letting me ramble. I'm sure I could fill pages of space but I'll save some for my 1k post...
