I've been drawing very dead lately live and online. Last night I hosted a small $10 home HORSE game. We were playing stud and everyone had folded down to just the dealer and myself. Here was what was showing to 6th street...

Me:
[X][10] - [X][10][6][6]

Dealer:
[_][_] - [X][4][4][X]

Then the dealer dealt 7th street, but when he did he exposed my 7th street... [6]. He gave the obligatory "Do you want that card...[table laughs w/ dealer"

What REALLY sucks about it, as stated above, I've been majorly card dead lately and finally finally caught a boat, but my trips were exposed. What is worse is that the dealer (my bro-in-law) is extremely aggressive and I later saw that he had a [4] in the hole, giving him trips which he WOULD HAVE, not probably, WOULD HAVE payed me off very well. We were playing $.10 antes, so I just threw out a $.50 piece and he called just because he felt bad, but I know he would have givin me MUCH more with his trips.... argggg.....

I think the pot was around $3.00 or so, is this one of those "match pot" type situations?

17. If the dealer turns the last card faceup to any player, the hand now high on the board using all the upcards will start the action. The following rules apply to the dealing of cards:
(a) If there are more than two players, all remaining players receive their last card facedown. A player whose last card is faceup has the option of declaring all-in (before betting action starts).

(b) If there are only two players remaining and the first player's final downcard is dealt faceup, the second player's final downcard will also be dealt faceup, and the betting proceeds as normal. In the event the first player's final card is dealt facedown and the opponent's final card is dealt faceup, the player with the faceup final card has the option of declaring all-in (before betting action starts).

I'm thiking this wouldn't be much help since the dealer would've simply folded here seeing 666>444.

Ouch.

This is one of those weird situations where you usually refer to the tournament director or floor guy - just a shame it's not an option in a home game. I'd be really surprised if there was much they could do though, because you can only speculate as to what your opponent would have done if he hadn't seen your card. You can't prove that he would've raised you.

(Edit: posted before I saw the above - yeah, tend to agree. That's the option, but it probably wouldn't have helped you)

I played a razz tournament last year where it was heads up between me and one other player on the river, and the dealer dealt both of our river cards face up. Tournament director ruled we were both at the same disadvantage and had to play the hand out - sucked for me, because the villain bricked and unless he was perfect in the hole I had him beat. Turns out he was perfect in the hole
