Love to hear more about these Chinese; I can't remember seeing many chinese players over the last few years. Where do they play, what limits, and please describe the mindset a bit; don't be so inscrutable.
There is a group of Chines players on
poker stars. They all come from Fuzhou (foochow) which is located in Fujian. Fuzhou is like Brooklyn and Fujian is like saying New York. Its all the same place.
They play all levels from 2/4 to 30/60. I'll see Kissyao playing 30/60 with a $4000 stack and sitting at 2/4 with a $120 stack. This, I don't understand.
They never play each other heads up. They all seem to have huge, endless bankrolls.
At first I thought they were maniacs as they seemed to suck out a lot on the river. They take a lot of verbal abuse from the other players. Once they commit to a pot they go all the way to the showdown.
They do some weird things too. They come to a table, sit down, and then sit out. They also change seats a lot, usually right after losing a hand.
I honestly can't figure them out. I know they are winning, but I can't tell if they are cheating because they're all from the same area or what.
I know China blocks a lot of internet sites like youtube and facebook and probably anything to do with
gambling, but maybe the Fuzhou network has a proxy or something....... I just don't know, but they are doing something different.
Personally, I don't have a problem with them, but they are taking a lot from other players. They appear to be pros because they are playing everyday all day from morning to night Asia time.
