Hey y'all haven't been near a PC in awhile so I thought I would stop in while I have a chance. Any way while I have been working I started thinking about my bankroll and came up with this idea. Don't know how hard this would be but I calculated that if I start with a $100 bankroll and win roughly 10% of my bankroll every day, in 69 days I would have $63,000 and change!!! Now in the early stages winning 10% seems easy but I think when the numbers get big and I'm playing in bigger games the process becomes quite difficult. Anyway, do you think this is possible to do? Let me hear your thoughts on this. And if anyone tries this and succedes PLEASE post it here and let me know!

Murphy's Law says it just isn't going to happen that way! :D
(Oh, for OzExorcist that's just negative variance btw) ;)

100% possible.

Whether it's likely to work is a completely different question though :p

it may be possible, but extremely unlikely. look how long it took chris ferguson to go from 0 to 10 000. he was playing with the 5% rule though, so it may be possible, but you're going to have to risk alot of your bankroll(which i would not be willing to do), and have alot of luck on your side.

how many hands per day? Assuming you're using proper BRM, you are playing with a max buy-in of 5% of your BR, which is usually 100 big blinds or 50 BB. So you have to win 100 BB/day at the LOWEST, because when you have $1500, there's no 37.5c/75c game to play, you'd play at the 25c/50c game and need to win MORE than 100 BB/day. At the end with 63k, you'd be playing $15/$30 and I doubt you can win at a high rate there. But just for example's sake let's say you could win at 5 BB/100 hands the entire way up (which is simply not possible IMO). At 100 BB/day, that's 20 hundred hands or 2,000 hands. So you need to be playing 2k hands/day and win at 5 BB/100 even at 3,000nl. And even have one bad day where either you play badly or just hit a downswing and you're toast. I'd put close to my entire bankroll on you not acheiving this unless:

1. You are retired and have nothing else to do other than poker, and
2. Are an amazing poker player who could or is already making a living playing poker and thus would have a larger than a $100 BR.

So is this realistic? I don't think so. Go ahead and give it a go if you want, but I don't think this is feasible.

Wasn't Chris just playing freerolls though? Can't remember... just thought I saw that in an earlier post.

He made his first few bucks from freerolls, but he moved onto cash games a tourneys as soon as he made some real money and followed his bankroll management guidelines from there.

Jeez, if we're going to be extreme, you can be dealt AA every hand you play in your entire lifetime, though it would be the most improbable event of the history of the universe ever :)

But yeah, winning for almost 70 days in a row for as much as you said is just not going to happen. If you play a big tournament that's a different story, you could end up taking it down and reaching your 60K goal in a few hours, though you'd have to violate every rule that bankroll management dictates... oh well, gl with that anyway, prove us all wrong is 70 days =)
