Where do you get the best return on your money...6 or 10 seat cash tables?
I prefer 10 seat as you can wait for a playably hand, but I notice that there are some really big chip stacks on the 6 seat tables so which ones do you find the most profitable?

Well normally I stick to the 10 seated games, but you can win more at the 6 seated if you can adjust your game.

More often than not though I find 6 seated tables are a nice way to lose money. Overplay the wrong hands and the good ones not paying off enough.

Still every hand is a learning curve.

Since I play lower limit Hold'em for cash games and NL tourneys, I actually prefer 6-7 players at my table. Most of the players at the low limits (.25/.50 and below) are very loose, and if you have a good hand, you won't have 5 callers, whereas you might if you were playing a full table. It's all about personal preference and your skill level. From my NL experience, it seems that many of the moer experienced players play 6-handed, rather than with a full table.

well

It really makes no difference to me. If you are good, it really shouldn't matter if you play at a 6 seater or a 10.

i prefer 6 player cash games...i think my reasoning for this is that i do this in live games, usually its a few buds and me about 6 playin straight cash or mini tournies.

but obv you have to be prepared for both situations, cuz most tournies have 9-10 ppl at a table

I prefer 6 tops - you just have to adjust how you play

Imagine you're in a tourney (well you are LOL but I mean a BIG one) where all the players hit the tables with the same stake. The blinds are relatively low (proportional to everyone's stake) etc etc.

One common theme I find in my play on 6 tops is that the play prior to the first up in the blinds is VERY loose... people play all sort of trash just because the price is right. To some degree, because of the lower number of players and the need to build a stake early thereby, I buy into this. But, I still won't play Q4 off or total trash.

Generally, especially at lower stakes (which is what I play), you can figure people to do some pretty silly things. A tight player with a little bit of savvy can almost always get their buyin back at a minimum.

Well, that's my two bits anyways..
