I know I keep pushing this Aces can be 1 or 14 -

But in that there is no '1' card, only 2 to Ace, and that Ace CAN BE a one ?

Seems to me - since Ace can be a 1? That makes for a NEW card.

So, I wonder if it's fair to think we have a 56 card deck?

And yes, I realize this post is 'out there' but hey, I mean, if Ace can be 1 ? that's a new card right? And shouldn't we count all cards that can be played?

Certainly doubles its value when playing Hi/Low and some times i suspect they like being in the middle of the pack as there seems to be one on every board . :shot:

If a deck with two jokers is 54 cards, and if a deck without -jokers then 52 cards in the deck, from 2 to A of each suit!

But a deck of cards is 1 to Ace not 2 to Ace- that's 4 extra card values.

In that an Ace can be a 1 too.

I'm suggesting there are 56 potential cards in Texas Holdem 1 to Ace

That's A(1) 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 J (11) Q (12) K (13) A (14) = 14 unique values.

I just wonder how that factors into statistics, if it does. Maybe I should take up drinking again.
