Maybe stupid question but what is the normal rule in a poker room for 3-6 limit game, on the turn one guy bets 6 next guy goes all in for 8 maybe 3 people call the 8, now its on the original bettor, what are his options?

I think he can either call the 8 or complete it to 12. Don't think he can raise it to 18 because its not 50% of a raise.....Hope this makes sense

It a player is all in for 8, the other players must call the legal raise (since the all in guy did raise) to 12 if they want to stay in the hand.

the original better can only call the 8 as a 2 dollar raise does not re open the betting to him. Anybody after the all in raise however could have completed it to 12

This is exactly right, but "completed" isn't really technically the correct term here-- they can call to eight or raise to twelve.

Thanks for the replies guys......I really thought the oringinal bettor could have called $2 more or go to $12. If the all-in was only $1 more the betting would have been re-opened to the oringinal bettor and he could have made it $18. For a dollar more its seems strange he could go to 18 but dollar less only 8..........I know this is a minor issue but someone asked me this question and I was unsure of the answer.
