Ive been a member here at Cardschat for quite awhile now and have gained so, so much valuble information from the great members of this forum. I really feel like giving back to the community in some way. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in some one on one coaching in 6max 25NL from me. I by no means claim to be an expert at playing poker, but I think that I have a pretty good grasp on how to beat 6max 25NL (I posted some graphs below of my winnings). I could probably do 6max 10NL too if you would like. Dont have nearly as many hands there, but I feel like I can beat the limit fairly easily.

Im not even sure if anyone would be interested in this, but I figured I would atleast offer. If anyone here has doubts in my abilities or thinks that I am not experienced enough to be offering this, please let me know. Really, Im not trying to sound arrogant or anything and I know I am not an expert at playing poker by any means, I just felt like doing something to give back to the great CC community.

Anyways, I dont have a ton of free time on my hands, but I do have some and would love to help some people out if they want it. Anyone who is interested just post here or send me a PM and I will try to accomodate as many as I can. I will probably let the thread sit for a few days and then generate a list of everyone who is interested and decide who I will take. I will probably take people with the highest post count first. I will let u know how I plan on doing the coaching later through PMs.

Heres some criteria I would want for people applying:

-Atleast 100 Posts here at CC (Preferably more)
-A bankroll large enough to be able to play 25NL (Or 10NL if thats what u want to be coached in) (15 BIs min) - I dont want to really be teaching someone who doesnt atleast know about BR management first.

Anyways, if you're interested, either post here or send me a pm. Heres my graphs at 25NL and 10NL 6max to prove I am a winning player.

Obv Im not taking a percentage, just doing it to give back to the community and for a little fun :).

As for How Im going to do it, I will probably use a program that lets me see your screen (If multitabling) or I can just watch ur table and u can tell me what u have (If 1 or 2 tabling) and u dont feel comfortable allowing me to see your actual screen. And we will use skype to talk to eachother.

Nice graphs. I'm at .02/.05 (6max) 20 buyins, so I don't qualify. I'll try to spy on your one on one coaching though.

Im still interested if u wanna do one, Im currently 6-tabling 25NL 6max, but would probably cut down to 4 if we were doing a sweat session. Did you figure out how to fix the audio to hear both people talking btw?

Yea, sorry, but I have very little experience below 10NL (most of it from over a year ago) and tbh I dont think my style of play would work very well at 5NL, I would probably have to tighten up quite a bit.

Stars only???

No, I guess I could do it at any site

Just thought of something though, it would be nice if players had PT/PAHUD (especially if they plan on multitabling)

Poker Office I have. Many sites I go. One meeting might be good anywhere; I can be there.

And I really don't want to take one of the coaching spots because my focus is mainly on FR, but if the coaching videos/conversations were posted here I'd definitely watch them. For some reason I can beat FR consistently but whenever I play 6max I either get blinded away or get too aggressive and start playing Q6 and stacking when I hit top pair :(.

I've never had trouble with 6-max. Up until last month it was pretty much all I played.

Here's my thought's on 6-max, and I'd like to get Bw07507's opinion on them.

I think you can show a profit in the 6-max tables by pretty much playing it like a FR, though a bit looser. But overvaluing position is a big mistake people make, so watch out.
The difference between FR and 6-max isn't massive, but (like at the end of a tournament) drawing hands like middle/small suited connectors are less valuable in while big pocket-pairs and A/face hands are more valuable.
Set mining is probably a little less valuable than in FR, but it's still worth doing. (Basically, the odds of someone having a hand that'll pay off your drawing hand are less)
Don't get into the trap of overvaluing position and be willing to fold several rounds if you need to.

Choosing your table is a bigger factor in 6-max as well. Stats are averaged out over a smaller group of players, so the wild players have a greater impact on the stats.

Anyway, that's just my two cents. I might be saying and doing another, but I think that's how I end up playing, which has been profitable so far.

I actually think position is more important in 6max than in FR and u have to be stealing a wide range on the button and CO. Set mining is still very profitable imo too. I also almost never go several rounds without playing a hand. I run at 20/16/1.7 but for coaching purposes, if you are new to 6max or 25NL I will probably have you playing a little tighter. And as u can see, my AF is a little low. I end up calling a lot of people down fairly light and seeing a lot of showdowns cuz Ive found that people bluff ALOT at 25NL 6max.

I agree that position is more important in that as you're involved in more hands with weaker hole cards, so you need every advantage you can. I was just warning about over valuing position. Nobody is owed a win from the button and nobody on the button is obligation to steal. Yeah, you'll do those things more, but there are a lot more factors to consider and going "Yippie! I'm on the button! Let me fling in some chippies!" (not quite to that degree of course) costs a lot a people $.
It's sort of like the "it's cheap so I'll limp with junk from the SB" trap.

I'm not sure if I agree that position is *more* important in 6-max than in FR though. I guess if you compared the value of position to the value of your pocket cards, card strength is more important in FR, so position will have more value in 6-max. But I just can't picture the greater importance when compared directly. I'm probably missing something.

I PM'd you a possible fix.

Basically, a Y audio splitter is hooked to the audio-out on your sound card. One end goes to your speakers, the other to a male/male audio cord that plugs back into your computer's line-in.

My security camera at work had the same setup, and when I did some SWF (Flash) to AVI conversion last night the software had me do the same thing.

As long as your video software can record from both the mic and the line-in, it'll work.

Well i just did a quik seasion with Bw and it whent very well he gave me some great pointers on hands and some insight in to wining 6max players style.
It was just a 10NL 2tabling and i did 200-300hands but it whent well down 2$ on one and up 12$ on another, not that the $ was the importand thing, more about improving my game.
Thanks again BW and i hope we can do it again.
