First, which is least amount of variane? Trying to figure out which would be more profitable on Bovada. I've kept an eye on the hu sng on Bovada and it's looking pretty dead. I always see 2 or 3 tables of 25nl running in the morning and then 5-6+ in the afternoon-evening. So what do you guys think?

Which game are you best at? HU SNGs require a very different strategy and skill than 25NL ring games. So variance means little if the skill differential is substantial. Go with what you know. If you're not fairly strong in either, then those stakes are probably a bit higher than you want to start at unless you just like to gamble.

Also, BRM might affect your decision. If you adhere to proper BRM, you'll need a slightly bigger roll to play 25NL than $20 SNGs. Conventional wisdom is 30-40 BI's minimum for SNGs, typically at least 50 for cash. If you use 40 for both, that's $1000 for 25NL and $800 for $20 SNGs.

IMO, no one should be playing HU SNGs on Bovada because of the player anonymity. Game selection is a CRUCIAL element of winning HU SNG play, and you cannot game select at Bovada.

Just my two cents.

Valid point. I would extend it even further to say that "no one should be playing poker on Bovada because of player anonymity" but that deceased equine has been flogged repeatedly, so I won't. :)

Although you can guarantee you won't be colluded against while playing HU, which is extremely difficult to detect at anonymous cash tables.

I can't be colluded against playing heads-up at ANY site since I only have one opponent, so I avoid Bovada.

That is not a knock on Bovada. That is simply a decision that I have made based on my analysis of the pros and cons of my playing there.

Good luck.
