You might have a problem with Poker After Dark, but you only need to be 18 to play in the Aussie Millions.

Because, y'know, we Aussies are clever like that. We make it legal for people to get their drivers' license, buy booze and gamble all on the same day :D

driver license is 18 ther?

Yep - pretty much everything's 18 here

You can get your learner's permit at 16, but your license isn't until 18. You become legal to drink and smoke at 18, and to gamble in a casino.

I've often wondered if it's particularly clever, actually - saying "Here - drive a car! And also, drink!"

Really? Awesome - whereabouts?

I've never known any accent other than the one I've got - but unless you're moving somewhere rural, you won't hear anyone speaking like Steve Irwin or Crocodile Dundee. Maybe practice adding extra vowels to the end of all your friends names. So Stephen becomes Steveo, John becmoes Johnno and so on. But we're pretty multicultural, you'll be fine :)

Sounds Quite extraordinary there OzExorcist-o

Actually I chatted with some Players from the Queensland...
On pokerstars I talked with a nice young 'Lass' from Lake Macquarie, real nice, we talked about the beach, the city, work opportunity..the seasonal stuff, temp. shifts. Normal everyday things.

I met a Woman that moved to canada from Australia, and where I live the terrain was practically Identical to there, cactus, and rattlers..and open range ranching type stuff...(Southern Alberta, Canada- -BTW)

~I don't think you can transfer a Poker After Dark or Aussie Millions ticket anyway~ So a sale would not be likely, and possibly disqualified! Maybe...I'm thinking that READ the rules of the Promotion???

Cheers Floppo :D

And you're right, check the conditions on the site but I'd be surprised if the Poker After Dark entry was transferrable.

The Aussie Millions packages might be a different matter, since it's an entry into a regular live tournament and in theory anyone could cancel their registration and ask for their buy-in back... but why would anyone want to pass up the chance to come to sunny Melbourne?!? :p

True to be..I do believe that the Buy-in for Aussie Millions would have the option to take the Prize, although I think...If it is like PokerStars, they only issue it in T$ not actual cash-out $ so...
The only other option if you were a complete idiot and not go to Melbourne, if even for a vacation trip to meet some Poker greats...
(sigh) would be to sell it to one of the sites out there that Buy T$. There are a few that do that at a reduced % of the actual Value.
