so if you were playing at the wsop main event and it was the very first hand and everyone folds to the button and he SHOVES the small blind folds and you are in the bb and you have kings do you risk your main event and $10000 or fold. what would everyone do in this spot.

In my local card room touny it is a snap call, but at the WSOP when the seat hasn't gotten warm yet, I have to fold.

Zero probability that there was such a situation, shove in first hand when stack very deep, I think so can only do a businessman or a rich person, so i am easy call, I'm not Phil Ivey that fold KK...

Well in that spot you have to play to win, and the likelihood is he does not have aces, because he would want to build the pot. I think this is the easiest insta-call....

This is why it'not one of my aspirations to play the ME. If I were to somehow build up my bankroll and line up stakers to pay the entry fee and then bust in the 1st twenty minutes I would want to kill myself. There are plenty of bracelet events at the WSOP with much lower buy-ins. The ME just doesn't seem like a good value unless $10,000 is a small percentage of your bankroll.

And don't tell yourself you would never be one of the ones to bust out in the first twenty minutes, either. It could happen to any of us.

Allin if we win this pot we will have enough chips to play not the fact that we continue to lose with AA and then we will regret why did not call with kk

I guess its easy to say here i would,ve insta call, but first hand?
The pressure might make me fold.
I'm sure the guy doesnt have bullets but I would've been so afraid to get sucked out on the flop

This would virtually never happen so is really a moot point. Even the worst player in the room wouldn't do that in the main event.

Open shove 30k in the 25/25 blinds?? They are only winning 50 chips if both of the 2 people left fold - which they are doing with almost any hand other than AA or KK.

Fold, he has aces.
Everyone who says it won't happen, it happens all the time online. Openshoving 100+ bb with aces. It is more profitable then playing the hand for a small ammount, and get a big multiway pot since the blinds are low.
People call with kings, AK and Queens, sometimes even worse.

But... this is the wsop. Ofcourse there will be some amateurs, but i don't think its most profitable to play it that way at the wsop lol.

It would be very wrong to call the shove there with kings, the only hand people open shove 100+bb first level(s) is aces.

Errr, beause its likely you are ahead and can double up.

If Im playing in the WSOP its because I am at the point where I am happy to pay $10k without being too bothered by the price.

Call all day long.

I disagree that they can only have AA and KK, Yes to most of us here the buy in is expensive. But to many other people it is pocket change. And I can assure you there are a lot of rich morons in this word.

I agree with Dakota, don't think you would ever see that in ME 1st hand for 50 chips but if it did and I had KK, I'm making that call.

AA make me think about it for a bit...other then that its just not worth it jmho. Of course if money is no object and your going to rebuy theres no question I'm folding the hand.
