GS, I think we've figured out you work for eCOGRA. If you said "We" instead of "They", we'd probably respect you more.
I've done some googles on eCOGRA and found they are respected throughout most of the online gaming community. I found quite a few original news articles, but more than half of what I found were reposted "press releases" put out by eCOGRA themselves.
What I can't figure out is why the largest online poker sites
don't have eCOGRA "seals" yet. Is it because these sites' software suppliers don't feel the need to pay the eCOGRA fees?
