Before any shoots me down in flames, Im not advocating playing 10/5 suited, just interested in whether the fact that all straights contain either a 5 or a 10 makes this hand a statistical anomaly?

I would be interested in finding out how this hand compares to J/6 or 9/4 for a given number of hands???

I dont believe there is a hand I hate to see more then 10-5 soots or not. J 6 and 9 4 are not much better, but there are very few situations where I will consider doing anything but tossing these. Only when ATC is enough for what I want. And that is not all that often.

hitting 4 to make my straight is always nice, but also quite dangerous.

Yah.. ok. I get where you're goin' with all that stuff.. 'but'.. aren't ya just like kinda curious about how the ol' T5s (anomally hand) does vs. stuff like J6 & 94? I'm anxiously waiting in suspense to see if we can get some 'decent' answers on here about it (unlike what you've written here :p )

Late position and first to act I like to raise with T5soooted either at a ring table or late stage mtt/sng. Its a cleverly disguised hand.

this ^ x a gazillion

'but'... even better, I really like 3betting with it (esp. while out of position.. or even better, vs shorter re-steal stacks (14-20bb) who I think are opening light & might even be able to fold to a 3bet.. just because when i do it.. it looks sooooo strong. They're real surprised when they look me up & I crush them with a straight (at least they seem like it from some of the stuff I see in the chatbox... frigg'n idiots though.. pff.. they obviously don't get the level 5 thinking it takes to crush/rule/own/epicly pwn, etc.)

Not sure how this fish calls my river shove here? I mean I was repping the 7 all the way but with the greatly disguised gutterball with the ol' T5s.

pff.. he calls. What a fish! (obviously only work when you move up to where they respect your raises)

T5s vs J6o, 40.5% vs 59.5% respectively., much worse if J6 is sooted. T5s 2/1 fave over 94o
but I know you already looked these up anyway...:p

all in all any one is good if you need an ATC hand. Other than that.......... meh

see bolded above. That and the flush make it a snap call from him. How many fish you know gonna throw a flush away, even with 2p showing???

If you play 10/5 suited, the chances are you're gonna lose money. Especially in cash games. If you're in a tournament and you want to play a bigger variety of hands, or if you want to bluff with this hand, its cool. Just know when to fold.
