Nice, I never knew this was possible. I sent them a mail about the 1.5 mil Ive had in my account for about 5-10 years.

I know you can change $10 into 1M PS chips. Dont think anyone will pay you that much though Not if they want to make a profit

I don't get this whole arrangement. In order to make a profit, people would have to be willing to buy play chips. Who would do that? I can see people selling their play chips for real money and I suppose I could see being a mediator and buying 1m for like 3 and selling it for 10. But who is going to be that guy buying 1m play chips? I've never played play money for more than about 5k and its still a disaster. Does it actually clean up a bit when you start playing 1m?

Yeah I was thinking about that the other day when I saw this thread. Like why do certain sites even buy play chips? I assume most sites sell advertising space, which makes them profitable

..i just can confirm what foldem86 wrote...i also think you can change $10 into 1M play money...but,about selling them 1M play money for 10$,i dont know,try to contact support,they are pretty fast

Whilst I am fully aware that people will pay for play money, I'm also left wondering.. why would anyone want play money? or to play for play money?

I was pretty shocked when I thought you were referring to how you blew a million dollars playing poker. Unless you are a professional poker player, it obviously is very unrealistic. Then I realized you were talking about play chips, and then my hopes were dashed. It was a smart move on your part to make the title a million to $10, because everyone is willing to click on the post. Smart marketing move on your part, but let me know when you lose a million dollars of real money! Just to answer your question, just search online and there are plenty of sites who will buy your play chips.

Must admit I was half-expecting a suicide note of a post here! Then I realised it was about play chips. I always thought you could sell play money for cash but wasn't sure on the exact numbers.

I know I have seen a site that will buy play chips back...a huge amount at a time but I can't remember where at the moment. Anyway...who wants to play hours for a $10 trade?

Alright for once and for all i have seen dozens of play chip threads on this site for both full tilt and poker stars, and as i have quite a bit of experience in this category i will clear some things up.

A few years ago (when i was playing poker seriously) i thought it would be fun to see if i could freeroll with an account on FTP, and i had heard of a 500k $40 freeroll on FTP. It took me a few months to get the hang of things, but within a week i had cracked 100k and in the month 40M.

After falling to about 25M play chips i entered the freeroll and won $2, and after the tourney someone contacted me for selling play chips to him.

The deal went smooth and all, i got my money, until my account was banned for "underage gambling."

Yes it is possible to sell your Play chips on many sites, there are both an odd amount of buyers and sellers, but be warned they are not all legitimate not all sites are trust worthy, and if your dealing on ftp you may get banned. Seriously.
