Well here i go again.

Some of you already know that i change of game like every couple months, reason for this usually is because i lose motivation or because i´m losing.

This Year change from FR to 6max, and recently back to FR. Motivation is down again because not much time to play and feels go in slow motion because lack of volume. So far this year not reach more than 17k hands in any month, not losing right now but still feel need to push things around.

So, now get the bug for try Zoom and think this could be a solution for my poor volume. I try 2 sessions today, start with 1-tabling/2nl for 30 minutes to feel the game and to set hud, load 200hands. Then try other session for 1 hour and go to 2-tabling and then to 3-tabling, end the session with 750hands, 950total. Will see if late can load another short-one.

I´m rolled for 5nl but will try couple days on 2nl/FR first to see how many tables i can play, how many hands can load and how gameplay is there.

Anyone playing zoom at the time or any past experience?.

Wish me luck.

I've been playing a little zoom and rush lately and doing ok, there can be easy money made as lots will go all in with just top pair.

Good luck Logan.

Late session, load 600 more hands to end the day with 1.5k hands which is the most i play in any day this year.

2013 may13 2nl zoom 15kh

I think will be 3-tabling at least for this week , didn´t try 4-tabling but 3 feel just perfect. Not sure how much time will have tomorrow for play,
but want to aim to at least 1.5k hands from now on. probably more on weekends.

Only 10k hands so far in the month with the regular tables, goal could be to reach 30k before month end, for future months could be 50k. Need to think when i want to move on and some more goals.
Can´t say much about gameplay so far aside that it looks way more nit-ier than i expect for 2nl. I lose set over set couple times early but in general gameplay sucks same like regular tables.

I also play zoom. i start again from NL2 4tabling with decent winrate. i was playing regular at NL10 zoom and i was rolled to NL25 and due to a big downswing and also bad play i lost a big part of my bankroll and i decided to cashout some money and start from a 50$ bankroll and build from the beggining. i think NL2-Nl10 is very easy beatable and you can easy handle downsings.NL25 its a bit different and swings are bigger.

if you play there long enough, you will realize this is not quite true.
play is indeed much nittier in zoom (since you can mostly just fold until a good hand), but once you move back to the normal tables, you will find out that it is far from the same play :)

i had this revelation shortly before black friday, moving from 50nl rush to 50 and 100nl regular tables, both seemed so much softer at the time...

good luck!

zooms easy and fun. u just have to play solid at those limits and also being trappy works good very often. its not as nitty as you may think.

Thx.
I moved down from regular 10nl, was playing underrolled and lost 5bi´s on 10k hands. For me the gap between 5nl/10nl is little less than the 2nl/5nl but still can´t beat 10nl yet.

Thanks.

I feel that after switch back from 6max to FR, even when FR is more nittier also feels little softer than 6max. probably you are right about Zoom, it should be little harder vs regular, just by ranges Zoom looks less wide than regular meaning our range will not crush that easy, also i guess on higher levels will be more pro-regs than on regular tables just because volume. But harder games also mean we should improve too at faster rate than on regulars (or go broke ha).

Nothing is easy on poker:)

Second day on Zoom.

Just a short session close to 700 hands, maybe can play a late session in a couple hours but i think will move up to 5nl already,

Today session was fine again, i think i get use now to the Zoom software, still got issues with Hud, can see stats and names but they don´t match with the table,
maybe they are from previews tables but not sure how to fix that.

Total graph for new DB on 2nl, (FR, 6max and Zoom mixed) I wish my 10nl graph was this sexy : /

i don't think i'd be folding to the donk, but surely to the raise and reraise. on second thought, i am almost certain your action was the correct one (ignoring the result) - since an 8/5 bets into 3 people, he must be quite certain of his hand.

regarding ranges - it is normal you would play tighter, i think. if you feel like it, you can look into the question "what hands was i playing before that i am not playing now", but that has to go hand in hand with "was i winning with those hands, or losing" :)

Hand from now

No stats on villain but i do have him color coded from regular tables, so i do know that he is a 14/14 or lower on at least 100 hands.

Poker Stars $5.00 - Zoom No Limit Hold'em - 9 players

BTN: $4.95
SB: $4.95
Hero (BB): $5.71
UTG: $2.70
UTG+1: $6.90
UTG+2: $5.50
MP1: $4.77
MP2: $9.46
CO: $2.30

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is BB with 4
heart.gif
4
club.gif

5 folds, CO raises to $0.12, BTN calls $0.12, SB calls $0.10, Hero calls $0.07

Flop: ($0.48) T
club.gif
4
spade.gif
7
spade.gif
(4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.34, CO raises to $2.18, BTN folds, SB folds, Hero ??

Considering his bet size pre (2.5x) i think he have a set too, i don´t think he get that crazy with just overs, and i know is not a fish.
But i don´t like to fold sets, however on Zoom it looks i need to learn to fold bottom sets. (already lose 3 times on sets vs sets situations on only 3 days on zoom)

Thoughts?

I get back to answer you benevg.

he is a fish in some sense of the word due to not having a full stack, never folding this vs a 50bb'er, would be tougher against a 100bb regular but still probably leaning to getting it in cause people will occasionally have AA/KK or flush draws enough. But yeah, i thought of the answer thinking he had a full stack, just snapping this vs a 50bber

Now that you mentioned, i do cut couple hands on EP/SB but also add others on CO/BTN but in general i think range should be on same level.

Thanks Peels. I think see you up now on 25nl, really happy for you mate, hopely all work great there.:)

In the same boat about volume, so Zoom is probably the only option for me to get any decent volume.

That was exactly why decide to call at the end, been shorstack, vs 100bb i probably fold tbh. (of course he have top set but meh).

Really SICK day.

Today add another table to reach 4, and first 1.2k hands get violated on all forms, take a break and go to Hem forums to try get a solution on Hud
because it sucks to be playing blind. Find a update and load the package and finally fix it and looks is working fine now. (so time to color code everyone).

Last session was a lot better, try to end the day on green but unfortunately come short, was really tired at the end and decide to better stop for good.
Still really proud of my biggest amount of hands loaded ever on a day, and how manage to keep cool and not tilt after the first session.

May1520135nlzoom

I don´t win today but still i can say that i love Zoom:)

Forgot to say, zoom is addictive as hell!

Also you will need to get in a mindset where losing 5 or so buyins regularly doesn't bother you (more if you play higher stakes), definitely need to not think twice about dropping 3 :)

I'm having to play Zoom as well in order to get any volume in. My left hand just doesn't move quick enough to play 9+ normal tables.

GL with it Logan.

Is really addictive for sure, i just hope don´t get burn fast.

I know you are right, my max i think is 11bi down on 3k hands, but because my low volume that means in like 4-5 days period, but now will happen in just one day so need to have that in mind.
I was using a 25bi BRM on regular tables and think 30 will be enough for Zoom, but probably better if i use 40bi .

Thanks Matt

¡Stacking! is the way to go man. On what level are you this days?, some time don´t read you.

Time to play a session.

You're stacking zoom? Doesn't that take away the point of zoom, or atleast make the hands per hour much less? If i were going to stack i'd just stick with normal tables if i could get anywhere near the same number of hands as more vpp/ hand in normal tables

I mean Stacking for normal tables, for what Matt mention looks like he was tiling and can´t play 9+ tables and that was the reason for low volume, (in my case was time not tables), so Stacking is the way to go if want to play more than 9+ in regulars.

Zoom is just 4 no need to stack. Sorry if it read different.
