you have information about your opponents and people tend to play more like nits in zoom so i guess regular tables are easier than zoom

Regular suits the thinking player, the focus is on exploitative play based on how your opponents are playing (HUD's are V. useful). Also the amount of times I have stacked a cash game by calling an open shove with JJ and they show a 64o as they are bored.

Zoom is profitable by playing strict tight hand ranges. You cannot call wide as people can see more hands and thus play a tighter range.

Play what you'll enjoy and you will play better. I prefer cash as you can identify weaker players and milk them dry. Zoom is very much based on your preflop play so if you're happy playing a tight strategy with no info on your opponents, go for it.

yes it is true, zoom is a robotic game, it is necessary to have a very strong bankroll, and experience at the tables, the game zoom is fast, so the bads can not shake during the game. If it is to start playing now better start on the laps.

maybe you play a lot of cash zoom ?? it was a time when I played but I did not face it and I quit, some friends tell me that I gave up slightly, but I find it more safe and remember that I meet many regulars but also recreational, it is a balanced area, but I did not have much money to deal with, I do not respect the bankroll.

It seems to me that zoom poker is harder than regular cash.

It seems to me that zoom poker is harder than regular cash. On the one hand, the zoom is much more interesting, because in an hour you play twice or even three times as many hands, but for some reason I always lose in zoom poker. It seems to me that in order to win in a zoom poker, you need to go into the game only on nuts hands or monsters hands. Perhaps there is a special strategy for poker's zoom, I think in any kind of poker you can win the main thing to know the right strategy, and of course have luck.

I play zoom when I'm just wanting to get some hands in for 5-10 minutes. I don't normally play it any longer than that. If I double up I usually take off or if I lose, I get out.

When you think about it, it's more of a gamble because you have nothing to read on from your table and your opponents play. You can try and remember their stack, but that's a bit unreasonable. It's still fun for me every once in a while but I prefer regular cash games.

On regular tables, the select table is possible, so the winrate is higher than in the zoom

Zoom is cooler poker

You win quick and you lose quick. Tilt will easily get the better of you.

It depends if you want to play with information or not. With one table and a full ring, you have a lot more information to play with than say a Zoom game where you might meet the same player once every 50 hands.

That seems to be the consensus around the community. For me, at least in 888, I have the same winrate across regular and fast tables

I've taken a shine to Zoom this past few days and find it much easier to play than regular cash games.

I honestly think it depends on the person though; I have trouble focusing for long periods of time, I tilt very easily if I'm folding hand after hand and watching people play and take their time.
With Zoom I know I can see another hand almost immediately so I don't mind folding strong hands out of position, pockets pairs etc since I don't even see the flop (and won't know if I would've hit).

I would say yes. (this has been my experience anyways & I have played well over 1/2 million hands of SPEED, FastForward, Rush, Zoom). As far as it being 'readless' this is not true at all. Once you've played the zoom-style tables you'll begin to recognize the regulars and their tendancies and fish will stick out pretty quickly. I typically play the fast table format as I prefer to 4-table them over say 10-12 tabling regular tables.
imo, if you can win on the fast format tables at whatever buyin you're playing at (over a decent sample size) you'll do even better on the regular tables.

Not really sure what 'and won't know if I would've hit' has to do with anything? Maybe you could elaborate? Thanks.

The biggest reason regular cash games are more profitable is because in Zoom recreational players will play a tighter range.

Your average Zoom reg tends to be tougher than the regular table regs because they'll experience more situations.

Also, the weaker regs like to bumhunt so you'll find them sitting with recreationals at regular speed tables.

The obvious advantage playing Zoom is you don't have to put any effort into finding tables. Also you might find a few more titled regs in Zoom, when they've been stacked a few times in quick succession, micro players, in particular, find that hard to deal with.

I play both games, some times I win more in the zoom, some times in normal tables. But I'm beginner, and I don't have many experience, I use the zoom game to win more money in less time, and play regular table when are so many good players in the zoom playing at the same time.

In a day I had start with less than 10 dollars and in little minutes I had win about 50 dollars, The variance is big, and my earns with normal tables are more constant.

In zoom games there's more open shove, raise all in and check all in, the villains use this tip so many times that put we in a difficult choice, I play only good hands and don't bluff against players playing more tight or that I had see call so many times until the river with any two.

"remembering their stack" will have zero bearing on anything. a) any decent player is reloading to 100bb's as soon as they drop below b) say the guy is up to 200 or 250bb's, doubling their stack since we last saw them moments before. What does this tell us? Nothing.

There are actually many reads we can pick up on on the zoom (aka fast tables) & if we're taking notes we'll start to recognize the players on the tables.

No it's all individual, you need to try both games and decide which game suits you best! Only from experience can we understand what best suits you! Only you should understand it and make the decision, don't listen to other people's suggestions!

Regular are really easiest to play because you got all the information from the players you sit with them on the same table. In zoom you just meet every other hand a new opponents. So hard to track how they play and stuffs its impossible... In the end if you're grinding and only play certain cards like raise/re-raise its good for zoom. Otherwise for real grind just go play high stake Omaha :)

Zoom tables are good because you can play more hands at the same time.
