hey guys ,
i wanted to throw some thoughts out there about zoom poker. i find it to be very interesting and easier to manipulate people on this. mostly, due to the fact that you are always up against different people. its easy to make perfect plays back to back and be super creative in each and every single hand.
this because nobody knows you and nobody or the majority of people dont really remember you, even if you played them just 3 hands ago due to the fast pace of the game.
So basically u can pretend to have any single hand you want according to the texture of the board and get away with it too.(assuming you have followed a particular story line and stick to it).
I personally find zoom to be easier than proper 6max's. And i find myself bluffing nonstop when playing zoom and getting away with it in 70% of the hands. it sometimes seems to easy.
i dont even have to wait for my aces or kings.because i could (theoretically) have them each and every single time. When if i was at a proper table i could not do that and get away with it that often. i believe zoom is a better way to make more money faster and pull some crazy plays.
any thoughts about zoom poker in general? i really like this game format and wanted to talk about it a little bit with you guys and hear some peoples opinions about whether you like it or not and if you guys think its easier or harder.

I don't like it. Way too nitty, which makes it really boring imo.

You do know HUDs work with Zoom right? The regs will remember you if you play enough of it.

yea i know they work on it.but it doesnt make any difference to me cause i play in such an unconventional way that its hard to put me on a hand .and also alot of people arent using huds. i dont think its as nitty as you say it is as you move up limits.people get alot more creative in the 50 NL 100NL.

i disagree. i have seen thousands of guys playing any two cards. the guys waiting for the QQ+ are my bread and butter. esp if u hit two pairs or a straight. i love it man .at the beginning i didnt like it either but now i cant stop playing it. its super fast paced and super unpredictable.if you have good post flop skills, its easy to use the board to your advantage and you will find a LOT of donks, fishes calling stations. and due to the fact that it is rather nitty sometimes, people will never believe that you clled with a hand like 34 suited when the 339 flop comes out and the guy is holding a monster.ive made some good money on zoom due to the nittiness of the nits. and they wont believe it cause its zoom. Why would anyone be calling with low cards is their mindset. on zoom everyone always puts everyone on premium hands ,thats why i find it to be the ideal setup to make loose calls with medium hands. if you dont hit move on.LOSE the small ones WIN the big ones.

set-mining in LP ftw!! Players can't fold their AA/KK = ez game
I've never tried ZOOM though (have played enough RUSH to have an idea, don't like it much but at least on FTP you can pull the player's note box off to the side & jot a few things down if you feel like it... not sure how it works on Stars? (they're notebox is inferior to FTP's imo)

on stars its great. its full of total DONKS. that are waiting for high cards alot of the time(but not always).due to the nature of the game and the fast fold option u DO see alot of people playing with premiums thats why calling with mid suited connectors becomes so profitable. esp when u hit hard. i never make notes on player on zoom cause im in the zone and dont have time. this mght sound totally retarded but i spend more time trying to make them put me on a hand trough 3 betting when in reality my hand is nothing near where they think it is. so basically i like to play in a confusing way. most of the time i know where they r.they are on premiums like our friend said in the post above. but like i said as you move up,you see alot more creativity. 50NL and above.

I know what you mean and you are right.

I am just not liking cashgames as much. I love the tabledynamics and reads on players more (wich are way harder to determine in Zoom imo) and just punish the same players over and over again. But think in a way you are doing the same in a much quicker pace.
