To be honest everything you said sounds about right concerning $5nl players. Sometimes we just get unlucky. - It is just the nature of gambling. Also, your own observations on your leaks sound like you have a handle on what needs fixing.
Without seeing any stats or hand histories all I can suggest is be willing to fold small pots early & pay atttenyion to the price you are getting and giving.
An example of setting your price:
If I open, c-bet the flop, pick up a flush draw on the turn and barrell, I like to often bet an amount that ensures I have close to the right pot odds
if just get called (about 1/2 pot), that way I only have to get a small number of calls on the river to be profitable. It also keeps my aggression up and can fool stats lovers into thinking I overplay hands; leading to more loose calls from otherwise good players. Plays like this work better on zoom because most players are already gone. Observant players will figure this out in a regular game, eventually.
