zoom poker has made me some good profits in the low stakes. but i want to improve my game further. i have developed a loose style, 3betting really light, in and out of position. it has its profits but some times it has its downsides as well. all in all i am player that gives action to the table. but since i like action with marginal hands doesnt that mean i should be moving to 6max games rather than full ring? whats the difference there? in full ring zoom people fold too often to 3bets especially when they open from the button (i guess because in low stakes some people just open ATC from the BTN.) whats some tips i should have in mind when moving from zoom full ring to zoom 6max NL2?

I play at Bovada but prefer full ring. There is only action on 6 player and no action at all with PLO

The difference in 6-max is the increased aggression. People are more prone to playing for stacks in 6-max. Unless you're playing a short stack in Full Ring, people are probably not stacking off with the nuts. People in full ring also don't bluff that much and are super passive.

Generally, I think 6-max requires more skill. Bluff-catching, hand reading, and increased aggression are essential to a good winrate. I think you can get by full ring pretty much fit-or-fold. And imo, I don't really like multiway pots on a regular basis.

If you like more action and think you have a good edge, then 6-max is for you. You will be involved in more pots with fish or weak regs heads-up/3-way, and be able to capitalize on their mistakes.

I've been playing Zone on Bovada (6-max style of Zoom basically). I've played both and various formats of 9 and 6 max on different sites. MinhAN is right, there's quite a bit more aggression and that's probably an understatement at 6 max let alone a Zoom style format. So there's people stealing blinds, stealing pots, and of course many only playing premium hands since they don't have to wait to get action. I've rarely seen an unraised pot pre in 6 max Zone poker, someone is always betting and in general since in Zone style you can wait for great hole cards, a lot of blinds and small pots get taken down easily.

That said I'm still working it out but find the variance is higher and the aggression can create lots of swings. Basically bet your made hands hard for value but if someone goes re-raising you like a maniac and you don't have the best hand, fold. You'll be surprised how many small pots you take easily with 3/4 pot sized bets on flop. Oh and raise on the button but be ready to fold. You will play for stacks on turns often as well Ive noticed so you HAVE to make bets when you get a decent hand to cut their pot odds on drawing boards.

i've heard that you should play opposite to the table (agggresive when they're tight and tight when they're maniacs) i am more on the loose side.. does that mean i should prefer tighter opponents aka full ring though?

it makes no sense to play Zoom Poker at long tables in the 9 players. Here decisions are made quickly and easily on the tables so the game 6 players.
