I've had a go at it before but just don't get it. What is the mindset one should have when playing it?

How on earth do you multi-table Zoom poker when you are having to focus on one ever-changing game?

I usually play 12 tables of regular cash games but am always open-minded about other ways to continue and improve my grind results.

Any advice here would be welcome.

Ok, I gave it another go and played 4 tables all $2 NL.

Played 1300 hands in about 50 minutes and came out $9 up.

I could get used to it...

yeah it is more used for people who want to get more hands in.

It has a lot more regs and nits but 2nl there is still plenty of fish i assume.

It's good and quick, which also means you could have 50 minute session and be down 9$ too. It can be a little swingy or at least I have found it to bed at times, buts it a great way to get high volume in short amount of time and see lots of hands.

Zoom is definatley as profitable. No doubt quicker swings you can lose just as quick as you make. Dont get it confused with zoom being a game where its about getting more hands in. I believe thats a bad common misconception. If you want to play more hands and wider then of course go 6 handed. Zoom full ring is still played with the same concept as at a standard full ring cash game. The difference is your continually changing tables and not able to build reads on players aswell as your seeing less play with them. (Huds become less valuable also in this understanding). Best advice would be to tighten up get in cheaply where you can with speculative hands, and with strong preflop hands reraise to narrow pot and be aggressive post. Yes some will instantly fold where being less aggressive you could of extracted more...but..yourl be surprised by how many actually do call still fishing or because they hit top pair reardless of the kicker. A nice trick to maxmise value if you get someome calling you off instantly is overbettinvg the pot on the river to make it look like a bluff...surprisingly again how often you get called more often in zoom than you would otherwise. I think due to the fact ifs zoom and alot of people fold fold fold to much to get to a hand they like and cant fold it. Zoom is A great way to learn abc poker I think due to the fact its stripping the game down to a new player most hands...no info on the player..its just down to you, playing your position hand selection, reading the felt and getting to grips with recognising players betting patterns. You see alot of hands so you go through many scenarios. In some ways zoom can be seen as a tougher version than standard cash game because you have less info on players. Definaltey a good way to learn poker FAST. (sorry for the drag on but I thoughg id put my two cents in lol)

Zoom is good for people who are no patient, you are almost constantly playing a hand. Here, people tend to play tighter, because they don't have to wait for a new hand if they fold, so you will be playing against decent hands most of the times. The good thing is that you don't need to play on many tables, and you can play lots of hand in a little amount of time. i find it very fun
