Ever since zoom was released on PS I've been grinding 2nl and 5nl. Made over $400 on 2nl and like $200 on 5nl over a total of like 550k hands.

Now I'm starting over at $100 and I'm thinking if zoom really is that profitable? Seems like there's so many nits at FR now, how is the 6max - and what adjustments need to be made?

Or should I go normal tables?

Some opinions would be nice, pros/cons etc.

cheers

I would say zoom/rush poker can be very exploitable if you play more aggressive and if you loosen up your range a lot. That means 3-betting relentlessy from BB and in position (button and CO) especially. The point is that everyone waits for decent hand, and when you 3-bet you practically represent QQ,KK,AA,AK and your opponent will really need top hand to call your 3-bet.

For example, yesterday I 3-bet from BB with trash hands like 53o, 79, 10 5, three times in a row and everytime the button folded. This is because the button tends to open 55-70% of his hands and you can exploit this very easily, since no one wants to commit anymore chips with marginal hands, they will just move on and wait for better spot, and even if you get called you can still take it down with a nice c-bet plenty of time.

I recommend full ring zoom over 6max, because full ring games tend to be much tighter than 6max in general.
