Recently, I play Zoom poker (Tournament poker takes so long time... ) with 50bb(to prevent the set-trap). however. I can't sure that It's profitable and good to beginners... Moreover, Ideal buy-in for MSS is 40bb but In zoom, minimum buy-in id 50bb. So perfect MSS is impossible.

However, I can't sure that MSS is unprofitable either.

I need your advice. Is MSS on zoom profitable?

It's probably profitable, but nowhere near as profitable as a 100bb strategy. And if you can't get set-trapped, then that means you can't set-trap others either. You have to expose yourself to risk in order to win large pots and maximise your win rate.

It's like saying "I don't like playing deep-stacked because I can get bluffed off my strong hands by huge bets." Yes, that can happen, but then there's also opportunities for YOU to be the one that does the bluffing, and there's also opportunities for you to make those hero calls that win you massive pots. More risk = more opportunities to demonstrate your skill edge and make a profit. Embrace it.

Completely incorrect. There is a reason Pokerstars decided to put a break on MSS and it isn't because those people withdrew little money from the site.

The reason was because it alters the way the games play. The deep-stacked players are forced to play a MSS against the MSS'ers, which tilts/annoys them because they want to play "real poker" instead. Also, it limits the maximum pot sizes and hence reduces the rake that PokerStars makes.

Again incorrect. This is just a very poor excuse. Yes some people squealed about it, but try thinking independently. It is hard but give it a go.

If MSS was indeed unprofitable and just a rake grinder, Pokerstars would never limit it. Fact is, competent MSS players took a lot of money from players who were unable to adjust and that money left the site.

Maximizing rake is about reducing profitable strategies and not about pot sizes.
