I was wondering if anyone could comment on playing the zoom tables vs the regular cash games. Is the fact that you can pick your hands and fold immediately hands you don't like an advantage, or does it really not make any difference to your bottom line?
From what I've read win rate decreases, loss of information on opponents and less opportunity for calling stations to call down. Hands played increases so a net gain over time.
I've experienced the first not so much the second.

Zoom is very aggressive, you can achieve great profits in a short time, it is logical that you have to be lucky to have a three, or flush, however the great zoom out is when you go through variance in poker and can not hit nothing and in a short time you lose a lot, because in the zoom in 30 minutes already give to have played some 200 hands.
Another difficulty is in the bluffs, as there is no fixed player at the tables it is very common to put around 3 bet and another player in UTG raise with 20 bet, the big problem when this happens is that most of the time it can be bluff , plus there are situations that it is not and you end up coming out zero.

If you like to play in a rush, that´s a good style of poker for you but,in my oppinion I prefer regular cash games.

I really like this style of play. It certainly suits the way I play. He to me is the most lucrative poker game style.

Zoom allows you to gain a large number of hands played in a very short amount of time. Good for building a base for a poker tracking program or experience playing.
Zoom is not good for building a lot of information on a few players. It's also a tough way to win because it tends to be quite aggressive. You have a mix of players that play to a big hand and a big pool of players looking for players looking for big hands to push them off when they miss.
I enjoy playing it - you get a large sample quickly but you have to use what information you can get to your advantage. It's very important to review hands you fold to see how certain players played it - and note it for future use. Zoom players tend to stay zoom for the most part so if you play enough you can get info on a good number of players.

I think it provides an opportunity for tighter players to profit. They are looking for certain ranges and this gets them to that range quicker.

Zoom is great to put volume. Your winrate is gonna be lower most likely. So try it if you are sure that you are winning the current limit.Regular tables are usually softer.
