Hello Guyz

I am new to the forum...Very nice job btw.

I would like to ask whats your opinion about the bankroll management on Zoom games.
How many average buy In's are "safe" to go?
One year ago (before the army duty) i tried to play 0.08/0.016 Zoom games with a bankroll starting at 160 $ (10 Av.Buy in)
I was going very well and i made some cashouts when my bankroll was like 400$ (400-250 = 150remaining bankroll).

But the hard thing is that i when i had "loosing streak" or some "unlucky streak" my bankroll broke up. Specially after the cashouts!!!!

Then i will start thinking...
Maybe i am not that good...
Maybe the opponents are better than me...
Maybe i need to "read" the game more...
I feel devastated...
I feel so bad for real.I dont want to be like that.

So what's your opinion?
I want to take a hit for once more.

P.S. Sorry about my bad english!

playing zoom is very swingy so i would have a 50 buy in minimum range in whatever limit i am playing since losing streaks will happen especially playing zoom..

Welcome friend!

Your English is better than mine. :)

About BR and the zoom games I would go into smaller limits in your case.

The cash control rule still asks you to be more cautious, but I would instead try 0.5 / 0.10

I did not quite understand the 10 that you highlighted, is that how much you enter the tables?

At these tables of 0.5 / 0.10 I already enter with these 10 .... I like to enter with volume to not become easy target.

To play 16NL you should have at least 20 buy ins or maybe 50 buy ins to be safe.
Do you play poker for a living or just a hobby?
If you play for a living I would say you need at least 50 buy ins for whatever limit you play at.
If you play for a hobby then just play with 20 buy ins.
So for 16NL you need at least $320.
If you have $100 move down to 5NL and so on.
Always adjust to the limits you play at and keep money for bills separate from money for poker.

Was there any special reason you did not go down to 10NL?

I use the 20 buy in rule theoritically , so as to prevent me from playing without control , but in practice , I would say ,I am very nit , I alarm myself every 9 buyins to see what happen . I use more rules such as 2 or one buy-in per day , cause I am tilting in cash games often when I lose , or play with half buyin , cause I am a recreational player and I can't play full stack very well . But these rules apply to me :D .
I think 20 buy ins for cash games generally is just fine as I have heard if I am not mistaken .

How can you evolve if you are stuck in a limit with 50+ buy-ins? You should move when you reach 15-20 buyins.

it all depends on how you play
bad game - little money
good game - a lot of money

I use 20BI for previous level. I don't like the idea of moving up with lots of cash only to lose the most of it, and then go down. At that poin your game is a probably a shitty mess.
