Hi guys, I'm looking to play ten thousand hands at nl2. I will then look at moving up depending on how I do. I saw a good diagram posted on here that I am gonna follow. It shows when to move up, move down and when to cash a bit out.
Anyway, my question is, what sort of win rate can I expect at this level?
What sort of profit could I make when I reach the last hand?
I appreciate it depends on my skill level so a ball park figure would be good.
Cheers.

It´s an interesting question . But in geral lines, winrate in cash-games is given by bb/100, that is, number of bb won, every 100 hands played at the limit that you are playing, in this case, NL2.

Winrate = "Big Blinds Won" / ( "Hands Played" / 100 ).

"Big Blinds Won" = Total Gain / Big Blind limit -> in your case use $0.02

I strongly recommend you to have a tracker to do this job for you, like PokerTracker or Holdem Manager.

Bb/100

How many BB/100 hands would you say is reasonable. I read that the pro's can expect just a couple of BB's/100 hands or something, which is ok if you play with BB of $200+.
It's still early days but mine us quite high at the minute, don't think I can keep this rate up.

good players and pros can maintain 10+bb/100 over a sample of 10k easily still have 20bb+

i think looking at winrates without playing lately is a good way to lose money you invest. play some poker and work out how you fair because no one can really give you an accurate response.

id say a good solid winrate is between 4-10 for the average.. but most people wont even maintain that i believe... and most people will believe they can and fall short.

work on your game ground up and gl

I think you've hit the nail on the head. I'm less than a week in and already worried about how much I should make.
I'm also a little worried about how I'm gonna handle losing a couple of buy ins during a session (I hear this can happen). At the table I am my own worst enemy, and as I've started so well worry I'm gonna encounter a big losing streak and panic.
My new plan? Look at win rate after at least 10000 hands.
Cheers guys.

I´ve already read that 7bb/100 in NL2 is good to start. But it´s important to remember that NL2 is to improve your game, understand how the game works. Don´t demand yourself too much!

Yep. I must concentrate on the improvement of my game. $14 at the end of my 10,000 hands doesn't sound very rewarding, but you guys have made a lot of sense and I must look at my poker, at least at this stage, from a different angle.

In 10k hand good start is that your loses are stabilized, mening you don't lose more than you have already lost meaning you are break even player.

expect? that a question =)
realisticaly on nl2 you can be making over 100bb/100hands beacuse a lot of players just are terrible !BUT the decent/most common winrate considered is ~20bb/100 and will go lower with the stakes if you play good TAG to minimize the losses.

Mine , the win rate , is 0 :D , maybe because I fold AK a lot of times :D, on 2nl most are trying to set mines on Ax players I suspect ....ouf...If you're a good player you'll have a nice win rate, no need to worry , on 2nl most play like cr** ,like me :D ...
Good luck to you :)
