Bronze Level
Since No limit poker has sky rocketed, limit poker games have almost completely vanished from my local poker rooms. I not only enjoyed playing limit games but I consistently made money in them. I find that I only see micro limit games with a heavy rake and older players just looking to pass the afternoon and noobies trying to learn poker. I used to find steady and strong middle level games such as 10/20, 15/30 where you can make some money and be able to over come the rake. Now, all the money is being played at no-limit and the inexperience of the players in combination of normal variances and the mixture of playing styles, I find that I can't win steadily. The big swings and uncontrollable pot sizes make it a really volatile game. I think most of the players are either really good and are able to play a wide mixture of games and players that are so terrible that they play no limit because it is the only option and never learned the nuances of limit poker and talk badly about it being a "chasing" game yet I always lose to a guy over pushing a draw getting less than even money. The irony of their bad talking a good game in combination with their bad play that seems to get paid off more than variances should account for. Yet, I also play cause there are no other games.
