So I've never took grinding up a bankroll seriously, I've just played sporadically at different stakes regularly, and obviously lost over the long term, but with some nice little win in there.

I'm starting the thread to help keep my focus. I'll update with progress of each session and post links to hands in the hand analysis section.

I've started very small with just short of a 15 BI roll ($30), and started out really poor. Had to do a lot of reading and tightening up of my range, and betting my equity more when I wasn't before.

Posting on here has made such a massive difference in the short term, that in the last 2.5k hands I've managed to get to a point where I'm in a slight profit, including being on the good side of a few coolers of course.

I've also learned where to fold in more river and preflop situations.

I've attached my graph and will post it as things progress.

I hope that I can grind this up to 20BI for 5NL but a 1 BI shot at it when I'm at $50.

Wish me gl and decisions :)

One thing I have noted is that the red line was in big decline, I've made a few adjustments and been able to steal more pots and blinds to get this better. I'm not too concerned about it thought because the red line when I VPIP is strong positive, it's just in sb and bb where it's an awful decline.

You shouldn't worry about your red line being too negative at 2NL. Most of your winnings at microstakes will come from value-betting aggressively as apposed to bluffing, so you should expect a negative red line.

So, at around 18k hands I found myself playing for too long at once again and tilted away more than half of the BR. I then went on to lose the rest at PLO. SO I decided to put the game down for a few days, have revitalized, refilled the account with some fresh $ (another $35), took down a small 8-game tournament a few days ago for $54 (my first ever tournament win!!!!). so started with $88 to play 2NL with, and I've had a decent restart!

I've been playing max 4 tables a mix of 6max zoom and regular tables and sometimes full ring or 6max deep ante if I spot a fun player in the lobby.

A big game changer is feeling alot more comfortable with the cusion of the bankroll, so I've changed my move up target to 30 buyins at next level rather than 20, because I'm pretty sure that'll help my emotional state when playing. In the last 11k hands I've been running at 11.96bb/100, bringing my total 2NL to 2.76bb/100,

One question I have is, if/when one busts a stake, or starts a new one. Do you purge your old hands and stats, and just start it fresh? or continue?

Here are a few hands I posted in the forums from past couple of days:

Happy grinding everyone!

One thing I seem to be struggling with is bet sizing too, I have often been outdrawn in hands where I have a decent holding. I'm just taking this one hand for reference. Should I be betting both the flop and turn bigger? The reason I only bet half pot on the flop is because the board isn't particularly wet, and the only real draw is the one he has. Opinions?

The secret to 2nl is u have to grow some against bad players n learn to fold more against regs

4 hands 60vpip isnt enough to justify a read... been told at least 50 ... more hands the better tho
