Kind of a strange question. I noticed there's players putting in 100,000's of hands and barely making any money at some of the lower levels where you're not even making much in rakeback. I just don't get it. If I was playing 8-12 hours a night every night and barely making money. It's not something I'd continue doing. It just seems like they have to be bots to me.

Grinders

:willy: Maybe they are multi tablers? Some people that play 12 tables at a time don't have they highest return on investment but since they play so many tables it just adds up over time.

Don't forget about rakeback.

That small % of every pot adds up, especially once you're breaking six figures of hands and only show a slight incline on your graph.

one example:
260,000 hands, 12 hours a day every day. net -$53, and 263$ in rakeback.
doesn't seem worth it. what's the hourly pennies?

Damn, $263 a day in that rakeback? Damn, 260k hands in a day?

I'm averaging about $263 a day, but that's on tops 100 hands a day. Stupid jerk rakeback.

Because most people don't do well and the success of the gambling industry has always depended on the tendency of people to ignore data and believe things will start going their way.

What stakes are you talking about? 260K hands would be thousands in rb even at 25nl.

Are you saying that they are earning $50,000 a year from poker, assuming that they work 5 days a week at it?

Could you post the name of the person you're talking about so we can look on PTR to see what you're saying? Post it like xxNAMExx so they won't find themselves if goggling their screen name.

How many tables at once is this? I do about 1000 hands in 3 - 3.5 hrs 4 tabling.

Don't mean to sound like a noob but what is PTR?

This. Also, I think there is a general tendency to ignore $/hour. We all know all about bb/100 and BB/100, but if it equates to $3.5/hour, it might be time to switch things up.

sure no problem wasn't sure if it was allowed. xxZaon28xx
That's just one, but there's literally tons of these guys out there at every stake. It just doesn't make sense to me to be doing it at the lower stakes. 12 hours a day for what is gonna work out to pennies an hour.

its the same concept for low sit and goes. i never really noticed until a friend brought it to my attention. unless you are playing over $5 sit n gos, you are virtually making no return on investment in the long run no matter how much of a winning poker player you are. so the only reason to play low stakes is to build a bankroll for higher stakes, it will cost you money in the long run, basically almost the same as low stakes cash games

Why would FTP care? They generate rake. I mean they'll investigate if they're reported but why would anyone report them? They're pretty bad.
