I consider myself a pretty good poker player. I usually crush the local home games where I live, and I can tell that my strategy is advanced (not trying to talk myself up, just painting the picture).

Yet every shot I took at online poker failed. I'm using poker tracker, taking care of any leaks. I tried playing micro stakes and also low stakes (1/2 NL). I rarely ever tilt and I try to stick to my A-game, yet I always end up losing. I'm clueless here to what else I should do. help!

It could be simply variance, but i would recommend investing in a coach. I don't know your budget, but that could help you fix some leaks that ar hard to see by yourself.

Maybe it could be you just have not had a large enough sample of hands to really get a good indication of your true play. Try to evaluate your results starting around 2,500 hands and that will be able to give you an example of what you are really doing wrong.

Your strategy that works on the local live table, will not work on the micro stakes. Its a completely different game. Your going to have to make some adjustments and try something different. I find just keeping it simple is the best play at these stakes. If you have a hand, value bet. If you dont, just fold and move on. Its hard to get someone to fold to a fancy play when such low value is at stake. Observe the tables, find players weak to your strategy, be agressive and take their money. :)

First think about, whats different and why you loose online. What do you do in live games, do you think you got more influence maybe. You can see the others better and your plays have more effect.

Whats now different in online play style for you.

How the number of posts can determine the quality or the meaningful answer. Someone who plays poker for half a year can have 1000 posts and someone who plays 20 years can have 50 because he is new at the forum? in most responses, you have this explained. Apart from that, you can not compare online poker gamewith live if you not able to see your opponent's moves or emotions and not to know his bankroll amount on the account which can be 500x bigger than yours and calmly awaits a miracle card that will clean you up to zero after giving you first to win some cash.

You have to know and understand that if you are going to choose a freeroll that will be played by more than 10,000 players the chances of winning are 5,000 to 1, usually in that type of freerolls many fishes and manic players with multi-accounts ,The freerolls with a lot of players you will always be at a disadvantage, but winning them is also possible

Hi, Online you don 't have any informations about the others players.

Sometime you will win 1 hand and after the game will not give it to you more .

We speak about 1 aplication not just about luky...

The reality is completly different then 1 application who can make you to lose or not...

All the time you should to be a little bit aggresiv in this game but also take care.

The most important think is your brain, you should to be calm so so so so long time...

And also if you did a mistake, put it in your brain and never reapeteat.

The humans can do mistakes...but when they will reapeat it than they will be "idiots"...

Good luck and have a nice day to :D

Variance! Playing fewer hands can help in the long run. Both online and live you have to take this into account

Chances are that you're wrong (at least when compared to the average online player; you can be a very good player relative to other players in home games or even the lowest stakes in a casino (usually 1/2) and still be not so good a player relative to other players playing online).

There's not enough information to work with. Where are you losing? Are you getting outplayed in certain spots or are you getting coolered for stacks?

You say you use a HUD to "plug any leaks" so why don't you share these? Where exactly are you struggling with other than "I can't win online"?

All I read in the OP was here is a story about nothing.
