I've been coming back to cash lately and everything is 6-max both on rev and merge. Theres like 4 FR and 15 6-max .02/.04 games goin on merge earlier today. Is it just because the #of players is so low people wanna have full tables so the 6 maxes fill up faster or what? I never remember it being like this.

Speaking as probably one of the fish, for my two cents worth, after the dramatic contraction in the number of US players after Black Friday there was a greater percentage decline in the number of the less skilled newer and recreational players who tended to prefer to start with the larger 9/10 man ring tables. What's left are the somewhat more skilled players who tend to gravitate towards the faster more action oriented 6 man tables.

^^^ Probably a reasonable assessment. Better/seasoned players tend to prefer 6-max. Post-BF, the ratio of fishy recreational players to serious grinders contracted a lot, so I expect the demand for 6-max games grew while FR demand dwindled. And yes -- with the much smaller player pools, it also takes much longer for the tables to fill.

Funny though, I see the opposite when it comes to DONs and STTs on Revolution. The FR DONs and STTs I play there ($15-$60 BI's) seem to be more popular than the 6-max, which is frustrating as I prefer 6-max.
