Hi all friends,

when you Play cash tables at what stage you will stop after winning ? for exmp you start with 100bb deep like $2 in zoom and $5 (500bb deep ) in 2NL in pokerstars. Thne you start playing and won upto 6 bucks .. will u stop or Keep it going till reach what Kind of figures.

i have seen ppl make big stack and keeps on playing to give it back.

but while others Keep on making big stack and kept on bullying other small stacks. and make even bigger stack..

when to stop ? and restart with again 100bb in a dif table

Its best of all to play until all fishes on ur table lose their chips, after it u probably can restart with 100 bbs. It actually was written in David Sklanski's book The Theory of poker.

I prefer to begin with 50BB and restart with >100. I know this is a fishes sign. But I play badly now in fact and my mistakes cost a little enough. And I don't want to depend on luck if I shove with QQ and lose all stack to AK.

No set rules on my part. I just play until I am happy with my winnings or begin to stop focusing as well, which means I need to step away and do something else for a while. I think setting goals in poker is great, but setting profit driven rules such as when to walk away from the table can have unintended negative consequences.

I have heard stopping at 3 times before. I believe it is the 3/2 rule. Win 3 times buy in you stop, lose 2 buy ins you stop.

I used to always have this problem when playing live... I started setting a number that I would be happy with walking away with beforehand and use it as a goal while playing... Never used a Xx buy in though, just a number that I would be content with going home with

i see many ppl even continues with playing even though they ve 8+ buyins already .. they love to bully short and midium stacks as those stacks like to avoid These Kind of massive stacks inorder to avoid busting out. also many of them playing many tables at a time in zoom so ..

You play until you lose your edge over the table. You can make a rule for yourself if you don't think you are able to recognize when that is but why leave a table you are winning at. If start to get tired, change your play, or the dynamics of the table change, reassess and see if its time to leave.

I find that if you play long enough you will be able to get the edge on the res tof table, and pick your spots for big pots... If I was smarter I would leave when I can no longer have that edge, but once I lose a little I then say once I get back to that first number I will leave and then i get into trouble...

It's tricky. While it might feel good to leave when doubled or more, you have to ask if it is helping or hurting your game. Unless you built that stack off a miracle suckout, it means you're doing something right and the game is still good to stay in.

Which is tricky in itself to determine. I actually ran like god a bit last night at a table and was up 2-3 BIs within a few hands. I hung around, peaked about 6.5 BIs up and ended up leaving about 4 BIs up. During that time (about 4 hours at the table online) I swung between about 1 BI up to about 7 BI up but I stuck with it to see how long I could effectively manage a massive stack and being massively deep compared to the others at the 6 max table.

All that said I'm glad I forced myself to get comfortable with deepstack play because it was a great learning experience.

So if you're deep stacked consider staying, playing the same game that got you deep and see how you can do. As for leaving, I generally leave a cash game if I'm down more than 3 BIs and in terms of being up, I'll leave whenever it feels like the game has changed or I'm not feeling comfortable there anymore.

But yeah I used to smack myself many times for not leaving when up and then hitting a bad beat or just bad play on my part and losing all that hard work.

I usually leave once I feel comfortable with what I've made in relation to the table dynamic, but lately I've been leaving once I get up to 3x the starting stack.

Keep playing while there are players at the table weaker than you. Especially if the weaker player is on your right.

Keep playing if you are feeling alert and playing your A game.

Quit if you find yourself one of the weaker players at the table! :) Or if all the other players are very tight and won't pay you off. Or if there is a big stack/loose aggressive player on your left that is bullying you or making your life difficult. Time to find a better spot.

Quit if you are on tilt, tired or for other reasons not playing well.

I grind zoom tables and I have came off early short of finishing a session only one time as I had an 11 buy in stack. Other than that I have never come off a table short of the end of my session due to being up a certain amount, I like having the deeper stack against the other deep stacks, as I am able to dramatically increase my win rate often against these players

I definitly stop when I feel tired or I feel I'm not playing my A game anymore.
The decision should definitly not be affected by the amount of money you earned.

When your amount of chips gets too high, just stand up and sit down again with less chips, so if have to move all in, you don't risk loosing too much.

i don´t think you should stop. When you keep playing solid poker you lose just as fast as you would have with a 100BB stack. I only should leave the table when all the bad players are gone. :icon_bigs :icon_bigs

Played a cash game Thursday at a casino and bought in $115 for 1/2 NLH. I took down 2 big pots early one via a straight and another via a nut flush. Those two take downs brought me up to about $400 kept playing and steadily made another $70 before having to leave for other obligations. So when someone said its when you lose your edge I tend to agree, don't run from a hot streak either.
