Hi, I was playing 1NL in 888 poker and I wanted to asked how should i have played this hand. How could I determine that my opponent had a better hand? Should I have bet on the flop or check was ok? I also have a note from pokertracker " Played turn draw aggressively " if it helps to analyse.

Thank you.

well that sucks, be careful on cash tables, to many tight players.

That would be an extremely difficult hand to get away from. The only thing which might have saved you is to consider the possibilities of someone having trips with a better kicker, a straight, or a pocket pair that hit trips.
Ultimately, you have to ask yourself, is this person trying to steal the pot, or are they trying to double-up? From my cash game experience, few people will go all-in on a bluff since it is cash value instead of tournament chips leading me to believe they would have had a strong hand, but ultimately I think I would have called as well. Like they say, I don't think I would be "good enough" to get away from that hand.
In the end, they led you into a beautifully laid trap. One most players would have fallen into as well.

You should fold if it’s a low three of a kind or if there a possibly if a flush or fullhuse on the table.

It is extremely hard to find a range that flats this isolate preflop and uses many bluffs in this board and runout.I can find a fold here even vs uknown and for sure vs bad casual regular.Even against spazz players its hard to call this.Use the auto rebuy tool so you can play full stacked at every hand.

The red flag was the river. Villian let you dig your own hole.

I would have folded on the river. There was a pair on the flop there was a good chance villian had a small to medium paired hole cards.

A: this might seem tight but fold JQo in MP. You are dominated by a lot of hands that get played from early pos. like AQ and KQ and AJ. SO even when you flop good, you still can be a huge dog.

B: Why are you playing a 53 bb stack? always top off.

C: The way he played this shoots up red flags. I would definatley bet the flop here if i was villain holding a Queen, unless it was Q8. That ten brings in some draws and a puts a second heart on the board, and he is still flat calling. He could have a draw, but the river is a blank. An off suit deuce has never changed anybody but Scott blumsteins hand, so either he is bluffing of his entire stack in a spot where you look pretty strong or he knows he is ahead.

By no means a snap fold, but i wouldn't mind it in this spot. Your note about playing draws aggro also suggests he doesnt have a drawing hand, he would have bet that flop with J9 or 9T.

Obtw: please post these in the hand analysis sub forum.
