Hello! I need some constructive advice from you,community..

I turned 18 years 10 days ago and deposited 30€ into pokerstars.. I started to play 2$ NLHE cash games.. I fully mastered 8 tables at once and now i need to know , when to move up to 5$ NLHE? I currently have 73€ and i feel i can beat 2$NLHE constantly, because i studied enough and my Holdem Manager session graphs are showing stable and continual profit from 2$NLHE...

What bankroll should i have for 5$NLHE ?

Thank you for advices :)

I dont get 73euros and 2nl$ . so you play at pokerstars.com on euro tables of 2NL or you play at pokerstars.fr?

You can take shots at 22BI line (2BI stop loss). that would be 110eur to take shot at NL5 , but if you go below 100 go back to NL2 to rebuild.

hi seventh, i would suggest at least 50 bi at least to allow you a good bankroll to deal with the swings your going to go through from varience of the game. I wouldn't jump levels too quickly, especially if only having been playing for less than two weeks.

It's probably not a very good sample to determine your progress overall, and with doing multi tables you would certainly want to stick with at least the 50bi rule imo, which means you shouldn't move up to 5nl until you have a br of 250$.

Just my thought and will see around the same on many other threads on the site as well. Looks like having good progress for sure, hopefully it stays in your favor.

Our country currency is € ,so i set in cashier all money will be shown in grand total as € , but 80% of all money are in $ , thats why i can play on $tables.

so actually if i play on $ tables, can i apply 22BI (110$) to them?

I suggest you have at least 30x BI b4 you start playing. So about 150 euro. This is so you can handle the swings that are bound to happen.

If you're crushing 2NL just take a few BI shot at 5NL. You'll find that at the super micros (nanos?) that you can get away with a more aggressive BR management scheme since our edge is potentially huge. Just play 5NL unless you go down below 50, and then jump back to 2NL until you get back up to 75 again. Rinse and repeat until it sticks. You aint gonna go broke if you keep jumping back down to 2NL with 25 BIs.

agree with above, worth at least 4 buyins at 5nl, thin 2nl 5nl and 10nl play very similar but then gets better at 25nl
maybe try 10nl at $200 bankroll and go back to 5nl at $150

see you at the $3/$6 and $5/$10 next month :)

25BI are enough to take a shot at 5NL. Do not do 8 tables though. Reduce to 6 until you adjust.
I myself prefer 50BI for the lvl-up. Than 75-100, than 100-125.
A BR discipline helps you to never go back.

in response to above, yes a stop loss would be good to set, technically based just specifically on the 50bi rule then you would be looking at dropping back to the 2nl if you dropped down to the 100$ br again. You could however if you wish be more stringent and set a stoploss at like 20bi so that if you fall down below 150$br you go back to the lower level and work your way back up to the 50bi for the above limit again.

Again just my thoughts, this is the brm i plan on using when i get back into playing cash games again. As others have indicated they often use a 30bi, i just feel it must be much more comfortable to have that extra 20bi cushion especially if still on a learning and improving in the game to keep from going bust.
