When I have to stop a Cash Game session?

I started playing micro stakes cash game and one day I was playing for like, 2 hours. I doubled my stack and kept playing because I was feeling lucky. Then after 3 hours I lost all the profit that I've made.

After this session I started wondering: "When is ideal to stop a cash game session?"

Personally, I try and cash out when I start catching myself making mistakes, particularly if I start playing scared of losing my profit. I like the idea of pulling out after making 1 buy-in, then re-entering with that buy-in as it means worst case you're break even for the session.

In my opinion, it is best to stop, when you feel you loose many consecutive hands or you are feeling you are going to tilt or to loose all of your bankroll. Never mind, if you are on loss or not, stop when you face with these two things. Also, if you double up, it is recommended to stop again. Many people in that position think that now it is the time to build a huge bankroll, but usually loose all of the money. Do not give on the emotions.

I do the same thing. I guess once your luck starts to turn, get out. Once I am up a decent amount I will get pocket pairs like AA, KK ;QQ and someone goes all in, so I have to call. Every time I get beat and lose all my money. One time I had AA and I called an all in. The A hole only had a 2 and a 9. Cards fell ##2#2 so I lost to trips.

I stop playing when I start losing. But even I might stop earlier once I notice my cards are cold, not catching anything , even after seeing flop after flop and cant catch I stop there.

I fully support this opinion, in 80-90% of cases, if you manage to double or triple the stack and still stay in the game, there is a complete decline, and you remain at best at your own, if you manage to leave the table in time. Probably this problem befalls all novice players.

I learned one lesson in this situation. If I win and I have a profit, I exit the table. Otherwise, there will inevitably be a loss of money. That's just sometimes you want and hope that your luck time will last but there is a loss.

I play every day at the cash tables .... and what I have done is set a schedule for the gaming sessions .... my sessions have a time of 3 hours of play and I finish them ... regardless if I have won or lost ... but also after spending an hour at the same table and if I lose half a stack I change tables ...

But is a buy in 10% or 1% of your bank roll? If it's 10% its going to be a lot hard emotionally to take a loss of one or two buy ins. IOW having a good bankroll management will help you deal with variance. The less you give a crap about your buy in the easier you can keep your emotions out of it.
