Well where I play live poker theres a cinema ... Nothing beats watching a movie after a bad beat, especially a good movie.. if it ends up being bad then it may have the reverse effect

Things I do when going bad live.
1. Break 5-10mins
2. Seat change
3.Table transfer
4. Watch a movie (if i'm planning to be there for a very long time*
Your right though live swings probably feel worse and time wise will last longer because you don't go through the number of
hands so it can be quite dwelling. Coolers and nothing is worse when everything you do just isn't enough to get by.
I had one guy get his low card flushes all the time. And the time I did make a King high flush he had the Ace high flush ... Very frustrating
